Can they only scream like that on RB if the ball actually goes in thanks

I like it, finding a balance between more modern designs while maintaining some form of tradition is bloody difficult and I think they have done it well

Sorry! Done some work in commercial property previously so can’t help myself whenever this subject comes up!
One of the nicest opposing conversations I have had on here in fairness!

Just on your anecdote - Villa closed their club shop in Birmingham city centre a few years ago.
I don’t disagree Broadmead is not what it was but here’s an example of a unit to let - not in prime location, and between rent and rates you’re north of £100k before you even get to staff costs. If you assume minimum 3 staff at fully loaded cost of 50k each then you need to make 1/4m net before you break even (and that’s excluding heating, lighting etc). It is, regrettably, a total non starter.

Bugger! Consider myself told then

This gets suggested on a semi regular basis but is a total non starter. The rental for even a secondary, small unit in Broadmead means that the amount of sales you’d have to make would be unrealistic to make it profitable. Ultimately we’re Bristol City, not Liverpool or Man City, and as such won’t be selling loads of shirts to floating fans. A Broadmead shop may up sales by 10% overall but most sales will be cannibalisation of what would be sold anyway.
The trick is to get the ground shop right. I’m just back from Copenhagen and visited both their ground and Malmö’s while there. Great stock levels, wide choice and in each store there was also museum type memorabilia dotted around - meant you looked around more, and gave the places an identity. The club mooted a museum in the past - that can’t be chargeable (wouldn’t make enough) so making it part of a revamped shop in the sporting quarter would be a great step forward.
Broadmead is not what it was and the club could see an opportunity in this. I would make it a shop and then space for the community trust to operate, especially considering the area is easily accessible by bus. There aren't enough affordable 'third spaces' these days and having something for families to come and access support or just a safe space would be a massive boost for the club and city, on top of what is already offered in South Bristol.
On a more anecdotal note I went to Birmingham a few years ago and saw a Villa club shop. It was busy with tourists and also created the sense that this was Villa's city. I have taken friends to AG and nearly all have left very disappointed by the club shop when they absolutely would have bought something if anything was available.
I agree with your points on the club shop although think that times are changing and the prospect of a shop/community space in the centre would be a real plus for an area that is in a real identity crisis and decline.

Might look prettier than the old 'megastore' but nowhere near as good! Surprised the club/ BS Group don't have another small outlet in Broadmead all year round

One of those where if his attitude wasn't so poor he would have been a Premier League regular. Huddersfield fans saying that he threw his toys out of the pram when it all started going wrong for them too.

One of the best cup ties I have ever watched. Both myself and the better half are ill today so been glued to the sofa watching it. Got a mate who is a Maidstone fan and he is still in complete disbelief

Hudson-Odoi reminded me of a certain other footballer named Callum...and not in a good way!

Goading the crowd is part of the pantomime that is football. Racism, however, is not. No excuse.
Kasey Palmer isn't exactly my favourite player and if I see him play us I'm sure I'll boo or something like that when he touches the ball. If he scores, I'm sure he will give it back! That people think an acceptable response to that is to racially abuse him is absolutely ridiculous, I hope the offending fans get a lifetime ban.

A couple of my West Brom supporting mates sat with me in the Lansdown when we played them last. One of them pointed out the mural of the Man U win and said how tinpot that made us look.
All I could think was 'bloody hell mate, thank god we weren't in the South Stand as you would have roasted the sh*t out of the Liverpool mural!'

Almost definitely going to be some form of throwback, so would have one of these.
The 91 shirt is a proper hidden classic and I think the 15/16 one is really sharp and a future classic.
I also think the champagne and teal kit could end up being done again. Yes, it's bloody hideous but the now iconic purple and lime kit was considered awful for some time as well! 2000s nostalgia is very much gaining traction too.

Oh Frankie, on his day he could stop a ****ing freight train but in all his years here I don't think I ever saw one successful kick from him

Max O’Leary’s level versus fan respect is wildly different!
Very regularly gets plaudits from opposition fans, we just don't seem to appreciate him. It's how I used to feel before I gave my head a wobble!

A ‘tongue in cheek’ remark Jeez.
The most unprofessional thing I ever saw GJ do was when he tried to trip up Chopra after he’d scored at AG and ran past the dug outs in celebration - the attempted trip was caught on cameras. Lucky for Chopra GJ had short legs,
Lucky for GJ and the club as well. Had he succeeded the shit would have really hit the fan and GJ would have been sacked before long before he started brawling with his own players down at Argyle in the locker room.
Do you remember when he cooked and ate that orphan in the dugout at Wycombe away? I was always a fan of his but am still amazed he was not sacked for it

BBC have Williams as the 14th best player in our side in there ratings, I guess they were watching a different match to me as I thought he was excellent for us tonight and ran the midfield,
Those ratings are never worth anything as anyone can vote on them, just a bunch of salty West Ham fans throwing a tantrum because we didn't lie down for them

Can anyone at the game confirm if Manning is there?
Only asking as I'm in a hotel bar in Bosnia and his literal doppelganger has walked in, would be rude to try and get a picture so will let you all imagine it instead...
He's even wearing the sort of skinny tracksuit that Manning wears!
