Tomlin was great on loan then put in decent to good numbers for about 3 months after joining permanently- free kick vs Aston Villa was a sublime strike but his attitude was suspect?

I remember he turned and started screaming all sorts at LJ after that goal...weird bloke that's for sure, imagine that talent but in a different guy

The most unlikable footballer in the world, by a distance too.

Still has to be Neymar for me. Everything wrong with modern football in the form of one detestable bloke. I hope his legs fall off

Lansdown provides the funds but doesn’t choose how we spend it, Mark Ashton and Lee Johnson are at fault. Kasey Palmer coming in is the most pointless waste of money I can possibly remember and that takes some doing

I used to think Nakhi Wells was our worst value signing ever but his redemption arc has been considerable. It must be Palmer now, absolutely baffling signing

  4. Glad Joe has stepped up and been performing well. I still think he has overall not performed to the level expected of him since he signed and would not really mind if he left in the summer.

He also has every right to be aggrieved by how his injuries and recovery were completely screwed by Holden and Rolls in particular. Took a lot of time out of his career; he was not known to have long periods out with injuries before he came to us.

I'd love for him to be replaced by a more dynamic and creative midfielder although that has been a need in the team for many many years and they don't exactly grow on trees.

  5. I mostly agree although if I were to counter I would say that our attacking options are limited at best and going 3 at the back means having to do yet another significant change in terms of playing staff, tactical setup, etc which is very unlikely to happen given how much it woukd cost.

He didn't do much wrong defensively but he really didn't do his reputation any favours in possession. Shockingly cautious, and that pass back to O'Leary in the last 10 seconds of injury time when he just needed to clip it into the box was just criminal.

I miss his robust challenges although since he got that red a while back he has eased off on them. Sensible decision but as a former stay at home right back myself I love a good cruncher!

  7. It's my birthday today, I'm twenty seven years old. I've been on this forum since I was around eleven and that in of itself has provoked some self reflection. To think that there are some posters that have kept me amused and informed for my entire adolescence (which was not an easy time for me personally) and now my adulthood which has thankfully been much more happy and fulfilling.

Whether it's been a doom scroll at 2am when I have work tomorrow, checking in during a game or coming on to bemoan yet another loss, this board has been rather important to me over the years. I'd like to thank everybody here as we do have one hell of a forum considering how pokey our football club is.

A happy new year to you all!

    Livid...

    And use of acronym R.I.P.

IF we need to remember a person's passing at least have the time to say something meaningful.

Troll, a insult levelled at someone who doesn't agree with your ridiculous views.

    XMAS ...it's Christmas.

Football at Christmas to make us even more miserable than we have ever been up to then... as in last ******* XM ...err Christmas.

More seasons in top flight (62) than any of Leeds, Boro or Norwich including 10 consecutive in premier league with cup final appearance and European campaigns during same period. Also founder members of the Football League and Auto Windscreen Shield Winners 2002.

Going to have to be pedantic and say it was the Auto Windscreens Shield 2000!

I only know that because I have our shirt from it...
