  1. Kodjia - get in me babber! 18 now - odds on him getting 20 before the summer? £2 million well spent.
  2. We've Bryan, Reid and flipping Tomlin behind Wilbs, (not to mention Smith and Pack behind them) and people on here are talking about/presuming we'll just go route one? Last time I remember people being this pessimistic about a starting line up, we went out at put four past Wednesday. As per usual; happy to wait and see what the plan is until after we actually see the players on the pitch.
  3. Good on Bobby Reid; looks to be taking his opportunities by the scruff of the neck. Not comparing to to cruel, but more assists and goals than Freeman this year in what I'd imagine are fewer minutes on the pitch. Nice to see him effecting games.
  4. The win yesterday certainly makes them look likely to go up automatically. Other than their home again against Exeter it's difficult to see them dropping many more points. That said; their oft spoken of desire to share a league with us next year seems pretty unlikely now, and the suggestions of three successive promotions are eyebrow-raising to say the very least. Although Burton are in with a reasonable chance this year, I'm wondering how often teams have gone from League Two to the Championship in one season; can't be often, and certainly other than the aforementioned, can't see many of those sides who've gone up on the last couple of years challenging high up the table. Although we're all familiar with the blue few's long history of fanatical-yet-baseless belief in their own exceptionalism, surely even the most rabidly optimistic of them cannot be seriously thinking they'll head up to our currently level without serious investment? And that really is the key; will these new owners put there hands in their pockets to fund this charge. They will certainly need to, especially when you consider some of the sides likely to be gracing League One next year, and that will be the acid test. But nice to see some raising their expectations already; will make the reaction to any stumbles on this touted road to new glories next year all the more hilarious.
  5. Key game is Exeter; they fail to win that, opens the door for the others. Fancy them to have one last hilarious moment before the season is out...
  6. It's actually quite nice to be able to take a point from a game we were poor in. Earlier in the season we'd likely have got destroyed under similar circumstances.
  7. You're quite right. And we could realistically draw three and lose one now and stay up, which is a situation we could only have dreamed about a few months back!
  8. Absolutely. And considering that despite leading against them in the first half of the season they comfortably beat us that day, this is progress. Yup. MK Dons (possibly with a third choice keeper) have to go to Sheffield Weds on Tuesday and win. Then they need to repeat that against Brentford at home and Ipswich away. And at that point they'd still be a point behind us going into the final match, and only if we've lost all the other games. Sounds like a big ask, but even more so when you consider they've have won only once in the eleven games since we beat them. We will need to complete implode to go down now, and even the most negative of us must see that is unlikely. I'm breaking out the liquor tonight!
  9. Gutted, but they are in good form & might end up a very good point. Here's to Brentford beating MK next week to keep us safe.
  10. Interesting. He's the deputy, isn't he? Thought their first choice was out injured.
  11. Also interesting to see Forest dropping like a stone. Though I think they are safe, their upcoming fixtures are interesting, and not sure I fancy them to get much before the final game - would be nice to finish above them.
  12. 20 points behind us with five to play. Hope he and his laugh-happy dad enjoy League One.
  13. Good luck to you too; keep Cardiff out of those play offs and hope you do well in the remaining games.
  14. Hull equaliser at Huddersfield put them below us, while Fulham's winner means they stay above.
  15. Love it; echoes of Wycombe away again - sags love to temp fate with massively premature pitch invasions. Let the knumbskulls have their stupid jolly.
  16. They are in serious trouble. Back when they were trashed at home to Chelsea in the FA Cup they looked a very poor team, even taking into account the quality of the opposition. Really never managed to replace Dele Alli, which admittedly was a near impossible task.
  17. The fact we're able to bring on a player of Peter O's quality speaks volumes to the work done on improving the squad since January. More of that on the summer, please.
  18. Makes for grim reading for those in the relegation spots, but looks very decent for us.
  19. Fantastic stuff. Hope SL is on the phone to Bournemouth, chequebook in hand, and asking how much they want for Tomlin.
  20. Christ; calm down, dear. Read the post again and point out where I had a pop at you; made mention of the fact some are keen to do down LJ - not sure I said you, did I? And I'll post when and what I want, thanks - I don't require your permission, certainty when you can't be bothered to read what I've actually written.
  21. Sure, we need to improve next year; that's obvious. But doesn't diminish the improvement we've seen under LJ, for which he deserves credit.
