  1. Not sure why we’re not pushing on here. There’s going to be no play tomorrow due to heavy rain, so why not accelerate to give yourself the best chance of winning?...

Surely you’d would want to put West Indies in for an hour tonight?

We’ve played them competitively 3 times in 18 years! I’m nearly 39 and grew up despising them because we were playing them regularly.  Most people 30 and under just don’t have the same hatred towards them that those of us who are that bit older do!

    I’m in that category.

They just don’t really bother me to be honest. I just shake my head at them as they keep coming up with things like ‘Santa’s grotto’ and tents for a stand.

    Just embarrassing really.

It's within one mile of the center of Bristol, which has the best transport links in the area at present. It's within the city where people who support that shower already travel to and from, currently using the existing roads and transport. There'll probably be very little parking, with a travel plan to provide park and ride and use of existing transport systems. Sounds like I'm bigging it up but I'm not, I'm just stating the obvious. Close to the Bath and Wells roads, the spine road, Temple Meads, Old Market and the routes from Bristol East and North. 1 Mile from the M32.

It’s in the middle of an industrial estate with wholesalers and tips. They’re welcome to it.

You say "good transport links"? Not so sure about that.

It might be near a train station but it's more likely most of what counts for their support will want to drive and the roads in St Phillips ain't great. In fact, it'll be gridlock central I'd have thought.

Agree with your comments re the mayor though. When not in Malaysia, he's spent all his time doing **** all for Bristol as a whole but plenty for the minority interests close to his heart - the gAssholes counting for both on that score.

It would be interesting to hear Rees explain why he considers that part of the city completely unsuitable for a 12,000 capacity concert venue but perfectly fine for a 20,000 (guess) football stadium.

Which is a complete waste of time as they can’t even fill their marquee up currently.

Ah yes, but let’s not forget that the Gas with their ‘massive’ fanbase...which is lower than Lincoln, Rotherham, Blackpool and MK Dons (FFS ?) are, apparently, bigger than many clubs in the Championship ??

I wonder who he means by ‘the enemies’?

    Deluded idiots...

    HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Luton are a bigger club than that shower mob.

  6. I’m one of those who only likes running if there is a football involved. But I’ve done 5 runs in the last few weeks and I’ve actually quite enjoyed it.

Really does help your mental well being.

  7. This #SkyWatchAlong on Sky cricket channel has been a brilliant watch. Shane Warne, Hussain, KP and Rob Key looking back at that famous Edgbaston test.

My favourite bit so far was Warney’s nickname for Ashley Giles - Ashley smack me miles?

Literally the first thing I saw entering the ground after the lovely walk down in the escort.

Same as us mate. We were in that escort.

Brilliant day apart from the game though, good laugh in the pub before and to that bloke who was smashed at midday dancing on tables, bravo to him.

Remember local residents waving City shirts out their windows to us in the escort.
