The photos from this week make me wonder if the problem is less unused child season tickets and more people moving to the Lansdown when there’s plenty of space in there.

Yes, it was half term, but most people don’t go away in February - and I would have expected the fact that kids weren’t at school the next day to mean more would have attended than usual.

It’s not just the Lansdown where people move to, there’s a lot of young un’s who get into S82 from elsewhere in the ground.

A site that lists "Sam Bellis" as our player and lists Scott Twine, Alex Scott and Tomas Kalas together in the same squad isn't especially impressive.

It also says: "A.Scott signed an annual average salary of €20,000,000 contract with the Bristol City. A.Scott earned £280,655 per week in Bristol City." Really? Who's falling for that?

Literally took less than 2 seconds to know that site was a load of bollocks.

Don’t know how anyone could look at that and think, yeah that looks legit 😂

Martin-Ball - 68% possession of which 60% of it was in their own third. 🤣🤣🤣

Don't ever play like that LM.

Wasn‘t it Russell Martin’s Swansea side that went to Forest the other year, had 70% possession yet got pummelled 5-0.

Massive difference between possession and good possession.

Nice effort boro just doesn’t appeal to me done Newcastle twice because it was mates birthdays both times we played them recent years. Cracking city but not been to boro.

So you do see the appeal that people have for doing Middlesbrough away, a weekend in Newcastle.

  5. I think s82 and that corner section in general do a lot to try and get and atmosphere despite being hamstrung by being stuck in that area.

However, I  also think that the crowd should mirror what is happening on the pitch. It’s no good trying to be clever trying to get a chant going that only a handful know the words to when we are chasing a game. There is a time and a place for trialling new songs and in my opinion that’s when we are well in control of the game, much like you’d expect your flair players to do the same.

When we’re behind or if the game is tight, get back to basics, sing the songs that everyone knows even if they are generic. Give everyone the chance to get involved.

I wouldnt have made the change at that point in time.

    James for King is fine.

Not sure about Cornick for Knight.

Roberts would have had to come off on 60 minutes, that would have been agreed with the medical staff before the game had started.

So who you bringing on to keep it a back 4 in place of Roberts?

Funny thing, there’s a kernel of truth in there - the amount of houses going up in South Glos and expansion is large and will only continue.

Problem for them though, the days of a north/south split are dead.  And with no real way of tapping into that growing population they continue with an aging demographic with an inferior “product” to attract families.

The new estates in South Glos will most likely end up much like Bradley Stoke, full of City.

He showed he was good enough with his appearances as a sub in Pearsons reign. He has natural pace, skilful and is aggressive. When he got on there was a noticeable buzz in the crowd. Some players dont always stand out in training. He's being wasted. We've just signed Dire yet a similar player is now in the U18s.

Did he? I thought he looked well disciplined when he didn’t have the ball but when in possession, looked a bit like Bambi on ice.
Still very raw which is natural given his age but he was definitely not ready for first team appearances.

    It’s bloody complicated.

Theres EPPP compo for the really young’uns like Maddox and Ampadu (Exeter to Chelsea).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_Player_Performance_Plan

Then as pros, if you’re u23 and moving out of English FA, then FIFA RSTP compo comes in, based on a fixed formula of years at club, category status of club.

If you’re u24 and moving inside English FA, then PFCC compo is used…assuming clubs don’t agree to a fee.  It’s rate for the PFCC committee to sit these days, clubs usually thrash out a deal.

I guess leaving things for a committee to sort out can leave a bad taste sometimes and better working relationships can be found when making deals.

Not likely.  Could go to Celtic or Rangers for £300k!  That’s the bitch with compo.  It’s why we did a deal with Burnley for Massengo.

TC is a different ball game, because imho, Celtic or Rangers won’t be able to compete with the kind of clubs interested in him, so the £300k isn’t relevant (prepares dish of rice paper hat for summer 2025).

Does academy status not come into it then? Always thought that’s why we were shafted a bit when Maddox went to Chelsea & Kane went to Liverpool.
