I am curious as to how that would have made any difference last night?

It wouldn’t have made any difference last night, my point is that the area was clearly more populated than it should have been which shows there’s a clear appetite for a bigger safe standing area within the ground.

  2. AFCON  is a month of beautiful chaos.

Remember a game at the last AFCON where the ref blew up for full time about 8 minutes early. Protests and anger ensued, about 40 minutes later they come back out to play the rest of the game but not before at one point the winning team refusing to come out.

I think they only played about another 6 minutes before the ref come to the conclusion that he couldn’t be arsed with the last couple of minutes nor added on time. They must have had decent post match food on offer or something 😂

Fingers crossed for more farcical scenes along with some decent football despite the dodgy surfaces.

Not really, 'twas just an old joke. A pity he left for us at the time, and as it turned out not good for him in the long run either.

Well do I remember what Nicky Maynard achieved with us, particularly when Paul Hartley was running midfield.

    Here's a reminder:

They were good times. Little did we know of the complete mess we’d make of things in the coming 2/3 years.

You're definitely on the right track and this thread is a clear example why we don't need to sell so many cheap season tickets that aren't going to be used regularly, those seats should go to groups to POTD.

I agree the Family Area should be cheap kids tickets and nowhere else. It's the last part of the ground to sell out as you need to have a kid to go in there.

So South Stand is full of empty kids seats. And Lansdown isn't full as you need a kid in there.

Absolutely screwed up in my opinion, adds barely anything to turnover (probably reduces it), creates a worse atmosphere and excludes groups from the Gate.

Talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

There may be a few playing the system, which will always be the case but how do we know that every unoccupied seat is owned by someone who isn’t attendinng. I know for sure the area from section 82 attracts kids from other parts of the South Stand.

Then as always with juvenile tickets you will have some non-attended, kids who only see the parent who takes them to games seeing them every other weekend, kids parties, illness.

If someone is taking the piss by buying an under-12’s season ticket purely for reserving a seat next to them then something should be looked into so it could be made easier to police but having a blanket ban on cheap under 12’s tickets on every part of the ground bar the Upper Lansdown seems ridiculous when one of the great successes of the past few years has been increasing season ticket & membership numbers.

That I fully agree with, but wouldn’t the same uptake be taken if it was restricted to only the upper lansdown, and if they wanted to pay the extra they could have more premium seats?

It’s no different to how the “GWR Stand” was first used and free kids season tickets were handed out, it’s how I got my first season ticket and I’ve had one ever since now.

I’m not sure it would. If I was restricted to only being able to buy a season ticket in Lansdown Upper when my lad was a nipper then I wouldn’t have bothered getting a season ticket.

He now in the under 18 bracket and is completely hooked on going because he loved being around the atmosphere by S82 as much as he enjoyed watching the game.

Stopping cheap under 12 tickets in anywhere except the upper lansdown would reduce it massively I imagine.

Cheap under 12 tickets is the reason why our fanbase has been increasing year on year.
A cheap under 12’s ticket is an adults season ticket in the future.

I'm surprised it's sold out already do we honestly have that many members? And how many half season tickets have we sold! After yesterday that should of left around 9k of tickets and probs 1k segregation or am I being completely stupid.

26,000 capacity, minus 15,000 season ticket holders, 4000 in the Atyeo, 1500/2000 sponsors/hospitality.

Someone on the way to West Ham on Sunday was saying we have 7000 members but this seems a little high.

Genuinely, why is this allowed? You can’t leave one seat spare at the bloody cinema when booking a seat. Why can you here? I want to sit next to my Old Man, not require a megaphone to communicate.

Site went down 1 minute later so didn’t manage to get any anyway 🤷‍♂️

There’s no season ticket holder seats at the cinema.

I simply do not believe we have sold that many seats that quickly. There is an issue.

Either way. We have not sold that many seats instantly. I have done this numerous times as a member and this is nothing like the pattern of any previous sale.

Membership has been increasing all the time though, the more members there are, the quicker the tickets will go.

The bigger point should be, members who have been to 3/4 games this season should have had a higher priority than those who haven’t.

Absolutely no chance we sold 10,000 tickets in 30 seconds. It was singles from the outset.

There wouldn’t have been 10,000 seats available at 10am. Given there will be a couple of thousand taken out for sponsors/hospitality, plus the Atyeo not being available, that would leave about 5/6000 at most to go on sale to members.

Hoping any season ticket holders can give an idea of how many tickets will be left at 10am? I'm a member and was hoping they'd have an extra priority window for having attended 3/5 games etc, because I'm sure at £27 for 12 months and the cup ticket price caps there will be a LOT of new members.

Wondering what the odds are of getting 3 seats (got my old man and my mate linked to my account) by eachother are if I'm online and logged in for 9.30, ready for release at 10. İn the case there isn't any 3 together how is 2 looking?

    Cheers boys 🤞🏻

Top tip: start refreshing the ticket page about 9:57/58.

Well I don’t think they are the same as West Ham, mines £25! Not complaining mind.

Plus no difference for season card holders which I think it was at West Ham

Edit. Just checked, the whole stadium was a tenner as long as you were a season card holder, so not the same.

Tickets for West Ham fans on Sunday were more expensive than for us.

Definitely recall seeing prices of £25/30 for home sections.

Hate to say it but I think that’s the attacking midfielder position sorted out?!

No. We’re still looking at other attacking midfielders to bring in this month.
Murphy was always going to get done regardless of what happened this month.

It won't be Westlife. I'm in their main fan club, whilst lead singer for a Westlife Tribute act, and have seen them 53 times.

You do realise you’ve admitted to all that on a public forum.
