Not really, the fact that Argyle can pass us comes as no surprise to me. This season is finished , unless some set of crazy results sees us relegated.
I like the look of all the new signings different approach. Moving up 2 or 3 places from last season and calling that progress is not for me.
We can hang around in this league for a few more years but sooner or later we will leave it in some direction.
I can't judge Manning yet and for me none of us should,
If after the summer signings and this far into the next season and were still playing shite football and looking like pants then we all just as well give up.
And people on here thinking lansdown is happy to hang around in this division is off the mark, i know he's ****** it up for 20 years but he;s not happy with that. he needs Promotion.

Conway on at half time surely , Wells struggling with the pace of play these days and I’m sick of his constant fouls.
That is one thing that has always annoyed me with Wells.
Fouling defenders defenders when they are facing their own goal. Looks like a throw in to us shove from Naki freekick to them.

When do we get worried about relegation? No goals in this side, surely a plan B Manning! It ain’t working mate, go two up top and ditch your crayon lines! Football is a simple game.

I’m not particularly happy with yet another rebuild that could take at least 2 years or more. But without substantial investment (in terms of our clubs financial position) I can’t see it being anything but a gradual process again with the way Manning wants to play.
Coventry look to be well ahead in terms of a settled philosophy/strategy, but then they’ve been building with Robins in charge since their dark days of League 2. In contrast we seemed to flip flop between trying to find the coach and style we think we need.
Pearson was a firefighter. It was a shitshow by the end of LJ/MA/DH, with too many underperforming players and a bloated wage bill to match. NP and Gould helped put the club on a more stable footing without suffering our usual relegation after such a disappointing previous period. To be fair, LJ had his moments (with good backing), but ultimately it all fizzled out and failed.
Now we seem a relatively comfortable if not somewhat underwhelming mid table team, at least there’s the chance to build now. That is largely down to the NP /Gould stewardship.
Sad the way NP leaving was handled, we needed his type at the time. We needed him 8 years younger I believe. But now it was decided we needed a new coach to progress fair enough. Pearsons sacking isn’t LM’s fault, he’ll need backing and time from the Board and the fans.
If it doesn’t work out, then the decision makers will have to take ultimate responsibility for the directions and decisions they have made. We as fans can’t decide the manager. The owners can and do. If it comes off they’ll take the success, if it doesn’t they’ll take the flak.
As Ray Savino i reckon you've got a max of two rebuilds left.

Totally with you on that Dave, sadly the majority follow the narrative and January is a quiet damp Squibb, when it should be just a normal month.
I absolutely hate Xmas...had to endure Christmas songs on repeat from the middle of November until January at work. Worse than Chinese water torture
Ha,ha tell me about it, i work in one of the big 5 starting at 03.00 and the shite is on at that time.
Although New Years Eve i'v never liked 12.00 every man and women trying to hug you like you've been best friends for 20 years.

Is anyone seriously happy these days for Xmas?
Seriously...all I hear these days is negativity about it, apart from time off work.
Needless pressure on parents and families to ' fit in' with society pressured by marketing.
Ridiculous.
I work in hospitality...and the down turn in profits this month is so noticeable.
It's so stupid when you think about it.
January a month of shit dark weather...when everyone is telling you to diet, change your lifestyle, become the new you, dry month etc etc...when actually you should be stuffing your face, eating what you like, doing what you like, drinking, doing whatever makes you happy regardless, because it's crap outside
ours are good every 2nd year when the kids and grandkids are going to the inlaws.
As for the dry January shit and the give up fags and decent tasting food, they can shove it where the sun dont shine.

Worked in Merthyr for a month, first night me and a couple of lads went into the pup next to our digs it was like a scene off a film the whole place went silent, proper throw back , it’s like it’s stuck in the 70s
Back in the late 70s early 80s Cornwall was the same.
Worked on some big roofing jobs down their, Redruth Camborne Helston and the locals working on site hated us.
One job in Camborne when we walked into the canteen they would walk out.
As for the pubs it was like An American Werewolf in London.!!

Well who would have thought a loan signing would have encouraged so much uproar. Pathetic.
Bring back the days when you have first read about the news the next day on the back page of The Western Daily Press!!!!

But i thought the price being quoted for Twine was 5Mil? , the sages on here have been saying that's far to much.
So if that is the fee then having him here on loan and giving us some exciting moments (rare i know) is a bad thing?
Leaving all the politics out of it i for one is looking forward to see him play in a red shirt.

I work all over the country, other fans see us as a bit of a nothing club, I can sort of see there point of view if you try and look at it from the outside, we never really threaten to do anything, we just sort of go round in circles
Oh for a relegation battle to spice up the run in.
If we finish mid table for a couple more seasons it might be something to look forward to.

Before half the forum implodes, City aren't a bad team, just one that needs a central goal-scoring striker and a creative midfielder to maximise our good approach play.
Yes, we fell away in the second half, but you invite pressure when you fail to score and that's 3 games now.
You think our two wide players are at the desired standard?
I know both are young but far to lightweight for me and rarely make chances for others.

Just give it a while, a few more can join in and dispute Spuds post.
Hard to see it going for more than a couple of days unless a couple of posters get really stuck in and argue their different point until one of them looses the will to live.

My first boots were probably of the winfield variety from Woolworths! Remember having golas and Patrick’s after that. Used to buy Lotto ones later on , never spent much on boots , never cleaned them , pulled them out of the bag on a Saturday with mould and grass growing out of the mud on the bottom = £1 dirty boot fine every week without fail!
Had a mate like you never cleaned his boots. One of his boots split during a game, i had spare pair and said you can have em mate as long as you clean them.
He turned up the next Saturday and i thought they look good he must have even polished em. In the kickabout before the game i noticed black marks on the balls, he'd only Tyre blacked the ******* boots!!!!!!

Remember an Orange plastic ball we played with late 60s early 70s but it seemed a lot more robust than that Wembley one.
Maybe it was the same ,**** knows.
