  1. No but they have signed a Costa Rican midfield player on loan from Forest. How many loanees do they have now? What's the limit in a match day squad?
  2. I see that Coventry City have done a similar loan back deal with Peterborough for Mason-Clark
  3. Sounds like a bit of an Urban Spaceman to me.
  4. A further point on this. I use the AG1 service and although it's normally a convenient option for me, the recent large crowds have highlighted how difficult it would be if more fans use them. After the Forest game it took 30 minutes or so for me to get a bus back from outside the Robins, this was despite a "bus wrangler" being on hand to try and organise queues etc. I know the pick up has always been from outside the Robins, but the queues for the bus and the passing supporters who aren't using the bus often collide in a bit of a mess. Would it be possible to consider using the industrial park area or somewhere similar, away from the crowds, this is how it's done in Sunderland for example.
  5. A few times? Some on here can make their minds in a few seconds.
  6. It's still worth remembering, how many games we have coming up and how many players get used each game. Some thought a few players looked leggy on Tuesday, so we need options to freshen things up. It doesn't necessarily mean Bell and Mehmeti missing out altogether.
  7. From the times I have watched the U21's I would say we are in a "gap year". The players that have graduated the previous group are either in our first team squad, or playing out their contracts and will probably move on in the summer. The next group down are being used to supplement that age group so they are probably a season or two away from being considered. Players like Nelson and Yeboah have been considered for involved at the next level because they an attribute that sets them apart, but they are still behind to some extent. There is some talent coming through, but not necessarily in the areas we need right now, Taine Anderson looks a very good prospect, but we aren't desperate for full/wingbacks, Meerholz isn't going to get a game at DM this season.
  8. Just about to post this, I think there has to be. It might also explain why a player with so little experience has a 10 minute highlights reel! https://youtu.be/pN7iQiSWxWg?si=EjrQdrRkORdyOXOB
  9. Manning says they have been watching him for a while, but I suppose because there have been no rumours the nahsayers will want to suggest it's a panic last minute deal.
  10. Even he stayed at Derby and got a pay rise that would match our wage offer, he would miss out on a signing on fee, which could be quite a good amount.
  11. Yes you are right. There was another one who stuck in my mind, he suffered from alopecia and was completely bald at 18. Was that Menmuir?
  12. Yes, for those who bemoan our recruitment team, that list of failures that Fergie bought should be a bit of an eye opener.
  13. I thought I would know more of the Ipswich players too, but only Burley, Gates and Parkin jump out at me.
  14. Speak for yourself, I haven't bought a newspaper in 20 years, I haven't opened one to read it in at least 5.
  15. Looking at the U21 thread I saw the name Billy Milne in a team from 1973 who I vaguely remembered from those days. I seem to remember he was good but couldn't settle and went back to Scotland. I tried to look him up but there is a more famous much older player with the same name. Anyway, I also came across this quite moving article about Ralph Milne, it's quite old so may have been posted on here before, but hopefully it's new to some. It's quite long too, but worth persevering to the end. https://www.nutmegmagazine.co.uk/issue-1/remembering-ralph/ The goal that is referenced is here. https://youtu.be/b2TttALDVLc?si=INstNDc-pUxzIL39
  16. No. If he had played on the Monday after the Cardiff game, as was planned by the previous medical team, that would have been rushing him back. The 45 minutes in atrocious conditions for the U21's that I went to watch went well, as he told me himself after the game how pleased he was that he had no reaction at all from the knee. The hamstring ( a long standing issue for him) went he was running backwards into position at a free kick, and slightly lost balance. Literally nothing to do with being rushed back or his treatment or anything that could be considered a fault in the process.
  17. Clearly not Dave, but the current overall feeling on this forum is very toxic, even posters whom I normally respect and agree with seem to being dragged into the negativity. It might be time for me to take a rest from here, because its not fun reading some of the supposition on here being treated like fact, when I know a good percentage of it is completely wrong.
  18. Ok not a lie, let's be fair and call it "alternative facts" that seems to wok for some. Your clear implication is that Rob was being rushed back by the current fitness team which wouldn't have happened previously. You have repeated these alternative facts numerous times. They were, and remain, alternative facts which I have also repeatedly explained to you, but you continue to post the alternative facts that are in your head to suit your agenda.
  19. You keep lying about this, I have told you repeatedly that the previous fitness people wanted Rob back two weeks earlier than he actually played and that the other injury he picked up was a recurrence of an issue he has had throughout his career. The current team have been really good with him, he is fit now, but needs minutes somewhere to supplement that.
  20. Sorry Mr P but I don't think we have been any more consistent in performance or results for several years now, mainly because of the division we are in. Outside those who make it into the top 3 or 4, all clubs are inconsistent, how often do you see top ten sides with minus Goal Difference, that 10 points will cover 12 places?
  21. We should have bought more than 5 players in the summer? When was the last time we did that?
  22. I feel like I have stepped into one this morning. Yesterday afternoon, the consensus of opinion was that we were going to get a hammering by an in form Coventry side who had far too much for us, our only decent player was out injured, and people were still pining for the previous Manager on every thread. I then sat and watched an excellent display by the remaining players where they made the previously rampant Coventry side look average and got a deserved point. If not for a poor fumble from our otherwise excellent goalkeeper, we would have got all three. I was a bit surprised to come on here and find that we seemed to have lost 0-5 at home to Rotherham and that every other player was out of their depth, even the ones who had put in previously excellent displays against Premiership opposition. Added to that we seem to have been infiltrated by a couple of keyboard warriors straight out of a Danny Dyer film, which makes everything seem even more surreal.
  23. I see the Unders lost 1-0 to Spurs, 88th minute winner. I don't know how accurate those sofascore type sites are, but one I saw suggested that Acey was right back and Idehen was centre midfield?
  24. I do. I think the "emotion" that he prefers to comes from the crowd and players reaction to it. All those cries to "get it forward" when there isn't a pass on for example. It looks like he wants the players to switch off to that.
