  1. Great day. We finish on 105-2, 332 ahead.
  2. Went off for a bit at one down, leaving radio on. Came back into office, heard that Davies was in and had a minor panic!
  3. If the pitch turns as much as it has recently then I suppose you wouldn't want to be batting last. I'd have probably put them back in though.
  4. Someone get down to Lord's with a good rain dance. What do you reckon about the follow-on?
  5. 138 all out. Looks like Tahir had some fun at the end there. This means that we will get 23 points if we go on to win.
  6. Carter gone first ball, another for Jack. 120-8.
  7. At 0-0 or 33-2? Both in my view, especially after our batting effort against Warwickshire.
  8. Bess out for 41, great effort from him. 365 all out.
  9. What odds Middlesex get 20 runs or less and Yorkshire 2 wickets or less in the next 17 overs?
  10. How many times have our no. 10 and 11 got us out of the brown stuff this season? If they spin us to victory then they'll surely be given Somerset knighthoods and keys to Taunton. We could have easily got 400 without that monumental collapse but I'd have happily taken those points yesterday morning.
  11. Well done Dom and Jack. 351-9 in the 107th over.
  12. They also have utility back Jason Woodward to come from Wellington. Don't recall seeing him play, but he has 44 Super Rugby caps for the Rebels and Hurricanes and a couple of bad injuries prevented him from playing more so he's obviously not useless!
  13. Players don't tend to switch clubs before their contracts run out, though it is possible if they're not wanted ir a compensation package is agreed. Teams can also take players on short-term contracts, basically loans, from other teams. That's not so unusual with non-international southern hemisphere players coming to the northern hemisphere as injury cover. I think the playoffs make it difficult for Bristol to recruit as players would be less willing to commit to a side who might not be playing top flight rugby. If they survive this season then I'd expect them to bring in lots more players in the summer. Coaches/directors of rugby don't often leave before their contracts are up or the end of the season either. I know that Holley was let go as head coach but no idea who has replaced him.
  14. Wasps are a fine side again now. Agree with Warksrobin that we'll see where Bristol are when they meet one of the other bottom sides.
  15. Braindead. Why not take a younger guy for the experience since they'll be carrying drinks anyway.
