  1. Definitely. All his set plays are very good. Amazing ability and confidence.
  2. So sorry to hear of your loss. I can't imagine how heartbreaking it must be to lose a child. RIP Gabriel.
  3. They should stick to coaching one-twos. They were great at that. To me, to you...
  4. Yep, my hometown. I was there that day. Think Rovers got a shock result on and off the pitch. Don't think there was any First Division games that day so any lads from Hitchin that usually follow London clubs came to the Top Field instead. Think global, act local. ?
  5. @Never to the dark side You're entitled to your opinion, but mine is the opposite. I would rather watch entertaining football than win at any cost. Hopefully, it would be winning entertaining football played by youngsters from our academy, but I would probably stop going if say Pulis came back and implemented style of play. My concern, until recent games, has been the style of football we have been playing. Now we have young commited players that are playing with bravery and expressing themselves. Results will come I'm sure. That'll do me.
  6. I'd get down the front in that case!
  7. Splashing your love gravy about SLG? Keep up the good work @Shtanley and @petehinton. I, for one, appreciate the free therapy. ?
  8. Only once have I left a City game early. This was during a long losing streak, but that wasn't the reason. I was on a bad run myself. I had a bad case of diaherrea, and thought it best to vacate the ground quietly rather than my bowels noisily. ?
  9. I keep returning to the feeling that something catastrophic like relegation will have to happen before SL presses the reset button and rethinks the whole recruitment model (and the way the football structure is organised for that matter). If we keep stumbling on like we are, just surviving, then we'll keep kidding ourselves everything is gonna be alright given a bit more time. Plenty of coaches, like LJ, visit other clubs to see how the coaching is done, so why don't the corporate suits go and visit a well run club to see how they organise themselves? Maybe English clubs may not be keen to share the secret if their success but I'm sure a trip to a well run German club may be useful. They may operate to different rules and regulations, but I'm sure we could learn something from how they are structured.
  10. I would hope it may be more a case picking the formation that best suits the players available. I am pretty agnostic about formations but I want to see the line up include players that will play on the front foot further up the field.
  11. I think these comments do @Harry a real disservice. I find his postings on targets interesting and informative. Though you do sense some (totally understandable) frustration in posts I would not dismiss them as rants made by others. I would be interested to hear about any connection you had with the club in the past @Harry.
  12. Can we just fast forward to the scene where we've just beaten Man Utd and the last three years was all a dream?
  13. If there is a positive from his death it is that it played a part in helping to make talking about mental health less of a taboo. For a young successful football man who was seemingly happy and well balanced to struggle and end his life has given permission for others (especially men) to say they need help.
  14. Nice piece on Football Focus just now featuring Dan Walker who was a friend.

Always been a fan of Callum. Just looks a footballer to me and always carries a threat. He has had some loss of form notably when coming back from injury, but I think it's more about how managers have chosen to play him or the instructions given that has hamstrung him (excuse the pun). When he keeps it simple and attacks the full back and crosses from the byline he is still our most potent threat. Just a shame that when it's on the break we have no one quick enough to be in the box to get on the end of it.
  16. OP may well be right, but still prefer they attack South Stand in the second half.
  17. I'm glad I'm not the only one this bugs!! Why not phone in using your telephone, or send a letter using the royal mail delivery service, or come down to the BBC talk to us in person using your mouth?
  18. Depends what era you grew up in. The glory hunters were all Liverpool fans in my day and Man Utd were in the second division. Still got 60,000+ in that division though.
  19. If only we could fast forward live games at AG for the last few seasons. Get back down the pub sooner.
  20. Just a Guy Fawkes pun surely? Can't see the harm myself. ?
  21. One of few high points this season has been to see Alex progress.
  22. Would pay to see Duncan Ferguson's reaction to this abomination!!
