  1. This is where he's miles ahead of every other kid I've seen come through our set-up. His mentality is spot on and he's clearly got what it takes between the ears (his feet ain't bad either, mind). It's like he's arrived into the first team fully formed. Rock on, Tommy!
  2. Of course the person on Twitter and the person on here could be the same....
  3. Must have missed those 5 minutes! You're describing the Joe Williams of Bolton and Wigan unfortunately, not the one who's played for us. No way he gets a new contract here. Yeah, that's what I'm saying!
  4. King is finished, McCrorie will play RB, Williams is rubbish and in the last year of his time as a City player. Scott will probably leave. We're not top heavy at all!
  5. Can't imagine how you know that much detail! ?
  6. You bloody ruined my afternoon at work though, mate!? All's well that ends well, though? Up the City!
  7. Indeed. Got us on strings, ain't they. F5. F5. F5. It's bloody murder.
  8. If we've offered him a contract, I'd be inclined to think our medical dept are satisfied Kalas is fit and, given some luck (and I put his injury at Cardiff down to damn bad luck), he will remain so. That being the case, he's our best defender. And you don't piss around offering silly contracts to your best players. We've made him an offer we can afford but he might refuse - because it's significantly less than his last one and there might be a better one somewhere else for him. I really hope not. He's one of very few players we have who shout "Top 6". And that's where we're aiming, right?
  9. You're right, i do have a problem. With Naismith at centre half. But I can see the potential in his passing ability from midfield.
  10. I get all that. Agree with most of it. But him being in the team during our most productive spells of form ain't necessarily down to him alone. So that sounds like a great example of making stats say anything you want them to. I was thinking more simplistically - how many assists did he have last season .v. how many fuckups, starting with the first game of the season.
  11. I'd like specific info to support that please. Certainly doesn't feel that way. And for me. In midfield!
  12. Still need goals from midfield. And a Marvin Elliot. Or Korey Smith. I'm not choosy We might have to sacrifice Scott for that lot.
  13. "3500 impeccably behaved supporters" ? "Morgan seized on Riley's pass to sprint past a defender" Sprint! ?
  14. He was 30 last month. Not 130! Given what we know about the cause of his long term injury in 2022 (Pearson has talked about this publicly) - given the time he's been allowed to have surgery, recuperate, not rush back, have a damn good rest - given we can have confidence in our medical team (a novelty!) - and given we've seen fit to offer him a new contract - I'd conclude the club are confident there are no serious question marks about his fitness levels, going forward, at all.
  15. Might have something to do with the fact Zak Vyner is nowhere near the player Tomas Kalas is, mate!
  16. Correct. Mansfield had the last laugh , though.
  17. That's worthy of a Brian Rix farce!
  18. Christian Vieri, mind - he turned out half decent.
  19. "Smith Says... Poor defence cost us game". No shit, Denis. Dave Thompson involved, I expect. A recurring theme. Dreadful.
  20. It's almost like you're a massive t wat. Oh, wait...
