  1. I found it crazy that he never got an offer from lower Prem or just relegated Champ team, ridiculous amount of assist and always had a good work rate and loads of recoveries. Only had 12 months left on his deal too if I remember properly
  2. I think it’s very optimistic to think that he will be anything to us this season even if he is back on the grass. He has done his ACL twice in a row and had his development stifled significantly. It could take years to get back to any sort of level and he might find it hard now to cope with the rigours of the modern game.
  3. I thought that Sam Pearson had left! Is he ever likely to feature for us again?
  4. Think it is fair to say Bell was exceptional today but is still improving and when he finds that consistency will be wanted at that next level, e.g. Semenyo. I think he is a lot better when he can get the ball out of his gf his feet and best defenders for pace.
  5. Deflection doesn’t make it not offside, he was offside.
  6. 3 disallowed goals were the correct decision but the red card decision was completely bottled.
  7. Is Olly Thomas moving there on loan confirmed?
  8. Cmon then Phil, where are you? Let’s be ‘aving you! C’mon!
  9. Williams for some reason reminds me of Liam Kelly, might take a fair few years to get form back again.
  10. I haven’t seen James get as much credit as he deserves from last night. Knight rightfully takes the plaudits, but I thought he was allowed to as James did a lot of the dirty work, made some good challenges (he really got stuck in one and muscled off the attacked to stop a Hull break and start our own) and really gave licence to those around him to play with a bit more freedom. Williams is the player who I feel can be upgraded on, and I think we will see him replaced by Naismith, with James being pushed up, or TGH in the next game. I think away against Swansea it is likely we will see James and Naismith with Knight slight further on. Provides midfield stability and allows us to counter and thread balls through quickly to our forwards.
  11. But haven't you heard? Shots on target are the biggest metric of everything ever. I heard we only had 4 in 3 league games or whatever on the 100% balanced as anything Bristol City podcasts last week (OTIB is very missed). We've lost on that again today so we were clearly awful. In fact, I'm led to believe shots on target are even more important than goals.
  12. Qu'est-ce que c'est? A consistent if unspectacular performer, you need a few of them in the squad sometimes. I can't see him ever stepping up another level, but I think for the likely low cost of having him as a player here he is good value.
  13. I don't think he plays to his strengths very well, seems to take a lot of touches and slows the ball down and then does not have the trickery to take the man on, he would be better pushing it out quickly and getting his opposition moving backwards.
  14. Good championship game to be fair, either team could have comfortably won.
  15. Good championship game that to be fair, both teams could have easily won it.
  16. Think Roberts instead of Mehmeti suggests that we are happy with an away draw.
  17. Sam Bell decent pace but takes too many touches to ever use it.
  18. Knight is quality, weight of the pass to Sykes made it easy to slide across.
  19. This is surely the replacement for Scott then. One in the base of midfield with two number 8s, Knight and TGH, in front. Didn’t see the weekends match as I was at a wedding but getting the impression that Williams isn’t mobile enough to be one of those two dynamic 8s. This should hopefully bridge the gap between midfield and attack and give us runners from midfield.
