  1. e.g “13 bets against own team” when he wasn’t even playing for them or involved in them, he was on loan. Could easily say betting against parent club etc which paints the full picture, but doesn’t get the same clicks. Hence a lot of the reactions I saw online upon announcement seem to think he bet on his current playing club to lose.
  2. I don’t disagree, just seen a lot of very basic inflammatory headlines. And so do 100s of others inside and outside every club who are not so high profile but would still be party to the same information, such as Trippier’s mates who were told to lump on when he signed for Atletico Madrid. If any consolation for Toney, he made his way back to the England fold. It’s clear that the lad has quite a problem, and I hope he gets some help.

    Top 3 up?

Would love to see something similar at the other end of the table too... and more teams promoted/relegated. 4 up 4 down across all leagues would be far more exciting....
  4. From what you are saying, sounds like his team had far too much vision of the future potential of Han that they lost track of how his current development would pan out!
  5. In all cases it was in matches he was not involved in, which the headlines are not showing.
  6. I suspect that this is very likely. Monaco to the UK would be a big culture shock for a teenager.
  7. It's a shame really, because with Scott leaving for a Prem club, and a bit more experience for HNM, there is a space in that midfield. I do wonder if he has been misadvised at some point, he was making decent appearances before his reluctance to sign a new deal and shop around. I don't blame Pearson for leaving him out. He has turned Scott into a £25 million player, and it's unfortunate that similar has not happened to Han. Could he look back on the past 18 months and think he should have forced a move last summer or re-signed and kept playing?
  8. If reports are to be believed, they are leveraging it to get him on a longer contract.
  9. There hasn’t been any admission or anything from what I have seen. But he wouldn’t have been naive to the risks, he will now lose his livelihood for 8 months. So much to lose and so little to gain would raise concerns that there is a larger underlying issue. Knowing the category of the offences as highlighted above would refine the conversation somewhat.
  10. I understand there are rightful concerns about sporting integrity. But surely we should be supporting players with gambling addictions rather than throwing the book at them? The guy does not need the money; players who are gambling will be looking for a high, no different from drugs or alcohol.
  11. We’ve been burnt too many times in the last couple of decades by this sort of signing. I don’t think he will be on our radar at all.
  12. Looking forward to seeing what Bell and Conway can do next season now they are not breakthrough prospects. I hope they will be putting in the work over the off-season.
  13. I’m not sure, if a team with parachute payments can offer another 8-10k a week than we can and a chance to aim for playoffs, then I’m sure he will give it a thought.
  14. I can’t see us signing Bryan and Currie. Unless this means that Pring is off. I think we would go for Currie over Bryan as cheaper wages and fits our general direction in terms of signings.
  15. Have I missed something re. Bryan? I couldn't imagine him likely to sign but he is being mentioned frequently here!
  16. They’d scored 39 and conceded 2 in the previous 13 games! If Plymouth beat them to the title it’s an incredible achievement!
  17. To be fair, Klopp has given the Liverpool youngsters a good chance this year in midfield.
  18. You’d back him to break into that Liverpool team after a couple of seasons as they definitely need a freshening up. Not sure if I see them taking another youngster though, they have Carvalho, Bajetic and Elliot who are all playing in midfield. They really should though, as I think he would bring something different.
  19. With Tinnion’s comments about being ready to move on 3-4 players when the window is open, I would hazard a guess that the Currie lad from Wimbledon is one of them and thus not even a discussion with Dasilva about staying. if so, makes a lot of sense.
  20. You just know all their expensive assets will end up at other owned clubs as well to avoid Forest being in financial trouble, a luxury other clubs don’t have even with parachute payments.
  21. I do wonder if that is because Nige went through a phase of experimenting with Bell up front as the lone striker, which didn’t really work and thus has not been seen again.
  22. I though either full back could be. Tanner was exceptional in both directions second half and set Weimann away for the counter attack if I’m not mistaken.
  23. On that topic though, I was getting frustrated with Bell bringing the ball to a stop and then trying to beat the man. He has so much pace I can’t understand why he brings the ball to a stop and then loses momentum, he would cause his opposition more problems by keeping the ball moving, pushing the ball past them and getting the legs moving!
