  1. He was a gas head and used to stand on the Tote End before he went to Hull Uni in the '80s, had a terrible relationship with SL while editor in chief of the "Evil"

I was at Lords in “77, names I remember were Shepherd , Foat, obviously Zaheer Abbas &Sadiq Mohammed. Main man was obviously “Proctorshire” I remember a banner “Jim Foats on water” also Rovers fans massively out- numbering City fans, good day out though as a young teenager
  3. I liked Freeman, classy player but now he wouldn’t get his big fat arse in the door
  4. The Parson Street Star has the biggest portions i've ever seen, big enough to feed at least three people, best chippy in Bristol is still the Argus on West street though
  5. They are cut from the same cloth
  6. They were very lucky to win their home game against Sunderland and managed to beat the worst team in the division 1-0, don't let's start believing that PNE are a good team, we always make any old rubbish look good
  7. Pearson's buy's, Pearson's tactics, Pearson's team selection, nothing has changed since his awful run of 9 months without a home win, how he is still in charge is beyond me and i'm not sure for how much longer the AG faithful will put up with it, in the less sterile days "what a load of rubbish" would of be ringing around the ground
  8. I've certainly not been Pearson's biggest fan from day one but i accept that i'm very much in the minority on this forum so maybe it's me that's wrong !!! Either way, right or wrong SL has stuck with him and is giving him plenty of time for which he deserves some credit
  9. What’s yesterday’s performance got to do with Lansdown? Only one man to blame for that
  10. Yet Birmingham’s “mavericks” looked world-beaters
  11. I’d like to see a plan A, B or C from our manager
  12. They had some really good technically good players and a couple of proper centre forwards, something we sadly lack
  13. I’m sure it meant a hell of a lot to him, his family and loved ones, fair play
  14. I’m struggling to find words, other than will things ever ever change, this is NP’s team so he holds 100% responsibility, SL has stuck with him when in reality he could of sacked him with justification more than once but imagine the uproar on this forum if he did, please don’t tell me he’s going to lead us on another nine month run without a home win
  15. As a kid in the early/mid 70’s many of us used to go down AG during half terms for autographs, Gillies and Sweeney more than anyone used to take time out to come and have a chat and have a kick about in the Grand Stand car park, it used to make our day at how friendly they were, simple gestures that went a long way
  16. I don't get it, why are you still here? Truly embarrassing, surely you must have some sort of life
  17. Chill out mate, life’s a bitch and then you die, you’re wasting too much energy on bitterness and envy
  18. Haha, is this commentator Alana Partridge?
  19. Caribbean croft takes some beating
