Same here, East playing West Germany was special though in ‘74 and the Argie team in ‘78 With Ardilles, Kempes, Luque etc was good to watch, Holland missing out in both finals despite being the best team in the tournament on both occasions must of been tough for them, they had some great players including the wonderfully named “Jonny Rep”

They were very reluctant to use Croke Park during the Lansdown Road re-build but I think a few brown envelopes changed hands !!!!

It’s been out of use for a while and it is to be totally re-built, a bit surprised they’re allowing an “English” sport to be played at a Gaelic stadium. Croke Park in Dublin is twice the size of Landsdown Rd but politically it’s a hot potato to play football there
