Ark at this belter posting in a thread on slagchat about the city v Newcastle agro video......these freaks really do believe their own hype....the last paragraph is beyond belief.....
"Sad scenes and so different to Rovers experiences with other fans, 'always had a soft spot for you,I love those shirts' 'when you all sing that Irene song at Wembley when Rovers won the play offs I was so happy' 'we always watch out for your results, you are such great fans' 'we were gutted when you went out of the league' I have heard other fans say.
In fact when Rovers lost to Mansfield I think that many proper football fans were traumatised, one of those moments that people will remember forever, like when JFK was shot.http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/8006/nice-friendly-bristol-welcome
Pathological liar

The horse punching tent dwelling minnows are liked by more people than the one team in Bristol.

If you call full scale riots, smashed up pubs and the police helicopter up in the sky due to running battles on Stanley Park a celebration, you must have definitely have been brought up in Knowle West!... That was my experience of that Derby in 2003 anyway.
You better behave yourself cunny funt or you'll get a Knowle West kiss!!

Dissagree .. without sounding pompous or anything like that .. we never seen you on the Tote End and when we did it was all over .. and I am old enough to remember. . And we held a few parties in The East End .. The 70s and 80s were good times for the Gas .. then you got your act together. . Again I'm no hooligan but was around then .. We even joined up with you lot on a fair few occasions. . We'd be met by your lot and escorted into The East End by your lot .. Yep .. unbelievable but true .. Millwall .. Man Utd .. Those 2 games back in the day were attended by us .. plus a few times against you in the Gloucester Cup .. so when I hear these stories about City back in the day about taking the Tote End I always sigh ..
Unbelievable lies, but if you say it for long enough you"ll start to believe it

They referred to the 'famous blue and white quarters'. Where does this myth come from that they're in any way famous ffs
"The famous blue and white quarters" is one of the biggest myths in football along with " it's more difficult to play against 10 men than 11" "2-0 is a dangerous lead" and "David Beckham was a world class player"

Read my post again and understand our gas logic ... yes we are happy .. well at least the great majority of us are
You've always been the same throughout your clubs history, always happy to put up with mediocrity, from lying chairmen to thieving chairmen (taking cuts from transfers) it just wouldn't happen at AG

You lot are so easily pleased, that's why Higgs took the piss for so long, when are you going to show some fight and start asking some serious questions of your owners?

Disturbing photos of young Rovers fans in the post, one with a Stanley knife in his hand with a message "Millwall away days"

Was always The Crown after a game at Uley. I think it's my lucky away ground, always scored runs there for some reason. I'd love to know my overall batting average vs playing at Uley!
I'll look into that mate, now you've mentioned tabloids it does ring a bell. I know the current landlord, might pop in for a pint, see if he's rekindled the 'local' feeling....!
You seem very keen Woodsy!!

The Old Crown.....I've never heard of this either mate. How long ago are we talking!?
The old crown, that's it, about 15 years ago when I was working in Uley, apparently all the shenanigans was in one of the Sunday tabloids, the landlord was very talkative after a few ciders!!

Im sure the pub that I would have frequented as a youngster (after having played cricket for Uley) was called the Kings head (on the right hand side just before the big hill that heads up to nympsfield.
Don't think it was called the Kings Head, the Crown?

Amazing! If only I had known.
I get the impression you are a young whippersnapper Fordy so this would of been when you were a young pup, is that pub still there?

Well known mate, I was working there for a while and used to go in a little pub there, the Crown? Talk of the village

Depends what you class as worse, the % or the times failed.
I'd rather win 1 out of 10 than lose 8 out of 8, terrible stats though

Nope it Preston 10 attempts 9 failures
Brentford have a 100 per cent failure rate compared to PNE's 90 per cent, both shocking records

Glad you love it .. it's also great for me to catchup on BRFC news on here .. and of course I care a bit as you were only in this league not that long ago,I miss our derbies .. We all have mates and family of the other team and keeping it real we all care a bit don't you think ?
Can't say I miss the derbies because we have nothing to gain and everything to lose, always been the same with the exception of our 2-1 FA cup win at Eastville in the early 80s when we were actually in a lower division than you for the only occasion in my lifetime, it' like Port vale V Stoke, Notts County V Forest or Walsall V WBA, the little team's cup final against their far bigger and generally superior neighbours, personally I hope we never have to play you again
