Not really dawe is still chairman of the club for example but there's so many "companies" accosiated with the club it becomes rather confusing

Didn't explain well, I meant it was odd the Rugby Chairman and the Football Chairman both resigned from Bristol Sport on the same day

I'll quote you on that when we beat you home and away next season. Unless DC has gone by then.

I had a dream last night that we drew Rovers in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. For some reason, Holloway played for them and he scored two first half own goals to give us a 2-0 lead. Rovers pulled it back to 2-1 and then they missed a last minute penalty. Crowd went mental!

    Err thanks for that

Pretty sure he wasn't sent off for the foul.

The referee very clearly gets a yellow out, I think he was going to be booked but was sent off for something then said to the ref.

Good spot - but looking at the pictures the lad that got sent off was never anywhere near the ref and neither are acting like anything was said - more likely his mind was changed by the Millwall players in the refs ear !

Wow he was a complete tosser from what i remember. I also remember him scoring that goal after about 28 seconds after KO at ashton gate in 2000?

Can remember when he played for Rushden & Diamonds against at their place around Christmas 2003

Right from the warm up, we were in the ear of Bignot. Rushden took the lead fairly early and he was giving it the big I am again - but further into the game he didn't want to join in the "friendly banter" we were having with him. Just after the half hour point remember him completely losing the plot and being lucky to remain on the pitch.

Of course we equalised, then as the game went on the Rushden players were losing their heads and eventually one of their team was sent off right at the end of the game - can still remember Bignot getting loads of abuse from the away end, and he had to be dragged back at the full time whistle from us all

From the Guardian match-report.  I say fair play to the Gas for the bit in bold, although the entire report reads like a comedy script.

"Portsmouth also set their worst post-war home attendance but they at least reached four figures, with 1,200 turning up at Fratton Park to see their opponents Bristol Rovers bring off their first-choice goalkeeper Kelle Roos after two minutes to circumvent the competition’s selection rules that bring a £5,000 fine if broken. His replacement, Will Puddy, conceded a penalty with his first act of the game only to save it. However, Portsmouth still won 1-0 thanks to an 88th-minute winner from Kal Naismith, with Puddy making an error. Rovers did not seem overly fussed by the result."

Or just do what Pompy did and make their 9 changes and take the £5k - surely a certain persons watch is worth more than that?

  7. Bristol Rugby’s Aviva Premiership derby clash against Bath at Ashton Gate has been moved to Sunday, 26 February (1pm KO) and will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

The fixture was originally scheduled to be played on Friday, 24 February, but has now been chosen for live broadcast.

Bristol’s trip to Worcester in March will also be shown live and has been moved from Saturday 4 to Sunday, 5 March (3pm KO).
