Considered it then looked at the prices, for a 20 over game its taking the piss a bit.
Massively taking the piss, I got £60 tickets and there were two price groups higher than that !
I would never had gone had it not been at Taunton
Compare it to watching England Vs New Zealand, and England Vs Australia in the ICC Tournament at £30 a time

Anyone else on here going to the T20 match at Taunton Friday evening?
See another temporary stand has been put in over Gimletts Hill / cemetary - talk about cramming in as many seats as possible

Good signing for them. I assume that this means Wally is going to give him some pocket money so that he can get a few players.
Either that, or they fear he is about to get snapped up by someone else and they want to make sure they are well compensated.
Interesting that he only signed a new three year deal last summer

Other than a quick trip to Newport, Cardiff, Wrexham or Swansea. Have they ever played abroad?

"3,000 away fans to The Valley, surely"?
We certainly owe them a result after last seasons drubbings too!!!15 minutes ago, Bar BS3 said:Assuming that's their opening day fixture, I'd fully expect them to take 3k to Charlton.
Agree with @Bar BS3 would fully expect them to take over 3k to Charlton for the opening game

do they usually say you should look to double the total after 30 overs?!
Especially with wickets in hand
4 minutes ago, Tomarse said:They could declare now and I'd have no confidence of us chasing 200
That's 100 more than I thought

See Craig Overton has been called up to the England T20 squad - token gesture as one of the games is in Taunton?

They have signed a lower league journeyman, not much to get excited about but no doubt they will.

Not sure about that, played most of his football in the bottom division or conference and at 27 you'd have thought he would of been picked up by now if any good
Probably talked about leaving so was left out of the squad

Weird standard terracing can be left for 25 years or more when some stadiums had to put seats in virtually overnight as it was too dangerous for people to stand.

Can't see us doing anything in T20 anyway , can you Phant ?
Agree @BobBobSuperBob, stand to be corrected, but not the best of signings we could of brought it

There was an interview in a free magazine that was handed out around Ashton Gate a few months back - he said in it, he hasn't retired from any white ball cricket, the club have chosen not to pick him. The worst part, he said he only found out about this when the club were handing out the kit at the photo day last season.
At Edgbaston last season in the semi, we were struggling for a batsman in the line up - it would have been ideal for him
To me he is the perfect batsman for white ball cricket
