Just arrived home from Neville Rd. Somerset at least 25 runs short of a competitive score. Glos got there easily.

We unfortunately had a bunch of pissed up gasheads sat a bit further down and one of them, a big fat guy was a bloody nuisance by standing up and showing off to his mates. Eventually some women behind me gave him both barrels of verbal.

    That shut him up.

@Robbored, assuming it is the same guy / group I was told about, he got a polite slap on the way out of the ground for his troubles :sub:

sorry if this is covered somewhere else on the site but I listened to the guy from UWE on radio Bristol who seemed to be committed to a scheme at the campus and he was very clear that a site with planning permission for a stadium was a very special commodity.

Is it possible they could find another partner? is forest green rovers not looking for a new stadium and as this site is in (greater) Gloucestershire would they be interested in taking up the offer as forest green can't have a great local support - as nobody lives in Nailsworth long term this might suit their ambitions

I think that truly would be the death knell of Bristol rovers.

Not a chance in hell of happening

Corey Anderson Gone home which is a shame

    Somerset Cricket

BREAKING: Somerset sign Fakhar Zaman for the remainder of the season!

Zaman is struggling to get a work permit!

Elgar now only available last three T20 matches and no longer remainder of LVCC games.

Anderson has a stress fracture in his back

I'd have to find the link, but I read an article on Hose's departure that suggested that the finances are not as healthy as they should be.

We literally make MILLIONS financially we're one of the best counties. But this is not good reading

  5. Great win last night, just like the Eng - SA game the light was shocking toward the end - and to think we started at 5pm too

Brilliant first 5/6 overs batting - Gregory was putting the ball all over the place which is great to see - Hants looked a very average team - now to back it up in Canterbury tonight on sky

Made a balls up with the Glos game next week, see it's now sold out - surprised the temporary seating wasn't left there with these T20 games and England playing there in a a few weeks

Rovers have worked with Thorntons for years. I love the draw for the shirt sponsor, what on earth is wrong with local businesses being involved with their local football team?

@Miah Dennehy You'll know then that it was a supporter who organised the previous trips abroad to Sabadell etc, the club saw the ££ and took over the running of it

Is that who I think it is...?!

Best thing with this season shirt sponsor "Thorntons Travel"

As some people will know Rovers do a draw to see who will be their home and away shirt sponsors, Thorntons Travel entered and were drawn to be home shirt sponsors, the next minute the same company are announced as official travel partner for their trip to Portugal !! What are the chances !

    Cracking win

Great win - only just online now since Sunday - something went wrong with the Middlesex bowling at the end, they ended up with Higgins Bowling the penultimate over and being one short of what he could have bowled it meant Franklin came on to bowl his only over, bowling a wide a no ball and being hit for fun.

His last over 6, 1, Nb (1), dot, 1, Wide (1), 4  from his five legitimate deliveries

It goes something like this.....There's only onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne Dean Windass, onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnne Dean Windass, walking along singing a song, walking in a Windass wonderland.....DEANO DEANO DEANO DEANO.

.....but it is the Ted's who are obsessed with THEM remember.....Tinpot lady gardens!

I'm going to the cricket this afternoon with a sag that has just returned from this jaunt - will be interested to see what he says about this

  10. Not as heavy forecast - everything crossed !

I guess the positive way to look at it is 56% chance it wont rain- one thing that WILL play a big part if there is any play will be the light in the second innings - it will be worse than the Eng V SA game down there last month

Ballance has broken a finger, likely out of the next Test.

    Probably a blessing in disguise.

    Confirmed as out now

What amazed me yesterday was it came to light the selecters don't actually go out and about watching any of the county games to see what players are playing like and on what sort of pitches they are playing . Selection is done from reading scores ON PAPER !!
