  2. On the brink of doomsday and people choose to get angry about St. David’s day. Or moreover a harmless little tweet about St. David’s day. Ceases to amaze.
  3. They are becoming increasingly annoying. More clubs than ourselves are finding this to be the case since the return to crowds too. One positive is we have good numbers of young support instead of a sea of bald and grey. But they could do with stopping certain elements of ‘said support’, such as actively seeking to call out their fellow fans in the stadium and abusing random members of the public on transport.
  4. Just another in the long line of robberies to the home fighter on British soil. We are now the worst place in the world for bad decisions
  5. Ah, dopey. Still, seems a little harsh as he’s done a good job there.
  6. Forest was a shocking mental capitulation and completely unacceptable, but we weren’t actually that bad for the 90 minutes. Coventry was worse because we were really poor from the start, they gifted us a penalty and an extra man and we still managed to lose a truly pathetic second half. Almost 3,000 City fans mostly ignored by disinterested players at full time, a manager off sick with no return date and a generally toxic feel. Only time this season I questioned whether it might of been time to accept that Project Pearson just wasn’t working. Thankfully, his return to work coincided with an upturn of form and much better football. Safe to say that after the dreadful first half of the season and some terrible afternoons and nights that something has finally started to build.

    Weimann

How long to go before he is a club great?
  8. Boro fans touch of class today to be fair to them. Worth a mention. Applauded throughout the AG8 celebrations and in the 8th minute too. Just thought they came across as a proper bunch in general and glad a few of ours were applauding on the way out.

    Antoine

Ronaldinho esque goal to seal the points. We can demand an almighty fee if he keeps this up.
  10. Indoor gigs in Bristol etc have been cancelled tomorrow night so wouldn’t surprise me if it was postponed in the morning
  11. The old Ashton Gate, sun drenched and cider drenched towards the end of the season… you couldn’t it beat it.
  12. The concern for me upon NP’s arrival was that this would all end in tears with the board. I think he has remained dignified and committed in the face of a a Sisyphean task. A task made arduous by the mess the same board who are criticising him helped create. Lesser managers and men may have quit on this job by now. He’s done well to keep us above the drop all season.
  13. First big test for the Lansdown’s today. Can they cope with public criticism?
  14. How long before they take naming rights for AG? If it is ever going to happen it will be 22/23 with this new partnership.
  15. There could be a fan led attempt to move some vocal support into Dolman A as well as S82. Probably the only way the atmosphere is going to get better at Ashton gate as the club aren’t interested. It’s not like there isn’t more interested in these type of areas as S82 sells out quickly every year with season tickets. However from memory these sort of campaigns have fallen flat in the past… the parkenders never really got going. There’s also the possibility we’re just a fan base, barring the bigger games, that relies on good football and a little bit of success in order to get up for creating a decent atmosphere. I think people have slightly rose tinted memories at times of some sort of cauldron AG.
  16. Yep at cardiff station. Not many joining in but enough to be heard.
  17. Wasn’t great today. Didn’t enjoy hearing ‘sala’s in a box’ either. Bit over the top like.
  18. It was the Preston game in the same 1934/35 cup run as the Portsmouth game. The 5th round. Though Preston is the ‘official’ record attendance, it is thought that Portsmouth may have been in excess of 50,000.
  19. Interesting. With our availability record being so drastically appalling in the last few years I had always assumed we were an anomaly in terms of the wider landscape. Do you know if injuries are mostly up across the board?
  20. Antoine in the cardiff end, brave…
  21. Why are we so concerned about getting them booked? We’re 3/0 down in the 85th minute.
  22. If cotts is going to be lauded as a ‘double winner’, then Johnson deserves credit for an EFL trophy. Some of the replies on this thread are oddly personal. The Lee Johnson years didn’t come close to other, genuine horrors of the past. Yes, he was given time and money, and at our worst we were drab, but at our best we could be scintillating. His era had excitement and some of the loftiest heights we experienced in the previous decade. Compare this to other managers of the last 10-20 years who barely even left with a memorable win on their city CV. The truth is, there is, was, and always will be, some kind of strange personal vendetta against Lee Johnson from sections of our fan base. I don’t understand it, you don’t know the man. He was the manager of your football team, but some of you have such deeply personal character assessments that you can’t possibly be basing solely on that?

    Massengo

To be fair, pretty much every opposition team we’ve played against with Massengo featuring has highlighted him this season.
  24. No. Every fan of every club believes there is a level of media bias against them. There isn’t. I just don’t think many people care about us
