Weimann is excellent in those six yard positions

Probably because all mascots really achieve these days is getting ‘paedo’ chanted at them by away supporters

It started on the right track but as it’s grown the overall quality of journalism has dipped and the shoe horning of narratives into just about anything that happens is irritating. Sometimes a football match is won because one team plays better than the other.

Ah well. Difficult job for anyone to solve this mess. Young players getting experience. Hopefully NP will improve his substitutions but never expected anything more than a struggle. Keeping us up is surely going to become the main target in the coming weeks

Anyone else going to smuggle in a meat pie?
Or something else suitably carnivorous?
Eat Flesh!
Not vegan, but I guarantee the food there is 100x better than any meat pastry served at the gate now and in the past

On a similar note, anyone know what’s happened to the rising sun?
all boarded up
I was there for the semis and the final and it was rammed. The old bill came knocking during the Italy game and I wander if this has resulted in the owners being forced out

Anyone heading down rising sun or anything tomorrow?

See you all in the rising sun garden around 5pm Saturday

Sounds like Joshua vs Fury could be announced officially this week. Apparently either Saudi or Qatar. Big shame, but given the covid situation sadly inevitable.
The rematch must be Wembley. Would be an absolute travesty if the pair never fight in the UK.
The fight is pure fantasy. There’ll be nothing announced this week.

I enjoyed it.
My only reservation was when hearing about the band setting a 5 year plan with their record company, with number one album on the list. My naive rock n roll romanticism would have counterculture bands like Idles balk at setting career milestones, but having heard about the long road to their debut album, and the escape from working bars, even a foolish idealist can completely understand the value of 'making it'. Plus, Danny Nedelko is hardly a pop song. They sound like they're in a good place now. Hopefully they'll retain their edge and energy and keep touring.
To be fair, I don’t think Idles are particularly counterculture. A bit of shouting doesn’t stop their music from being commercial and sloganeering.
But I don’t think they’ve ever claimed to be originators.

Don’t like idles but drummers a good bloke. Drinks tobacco factory pre match and see him out for runs round hotwells a lot. Cheers for this

Doesn't matter for most on here anyway, they won't be returning to Ashton Gate. Found better things to do on a Saturday...

So if all goes to plan (unlikely) we will be back, in full capacity, to see the beginning of the Nigel Pearson promotion season. Pubs before hand would be absolutely buzzing. Seems like dreamland but what a special day it will be when it comes.

Tried this for the first time today.....absolutely dreadful.
First im subjected to a shamless gambling plug, then a Facebook group and then they start talking about Cricket? Are the presenters serious or trying to take the piss with their comments.....I couldn't work out if it was a failed comedy sketch or a genuine serious BCFC podcast. Toilet and phone jokes? Sorry. Terrible.
All 3 of those on the podcast don't seem to know anything about football tactics Bristol City or anything football related.
The one by Headhunter I think is better.....they actually talk about football tactics and the club....straight forward Bristol City talk. Not faultless.
Sorry. Absolute garbage.
Why would you take the time out of your day to post this?

Can’t help my reaction to this sort of comment being unless you’ve been in there with a 6’6 ******* monster with a jab that’s broken your orbital bone I don’t think you can give him stick for quitting

Until recently I would have agreed with this, but it’s starting to look like a large proportion of the population - most importantly vulnerable categories - are likely to have been immunised by May. And we don’t all need to have had the jab for life to return to “normal”.
Maybe I’m being too optimistic, but I think there’s a chance a play off final could be played in front of a full crowd. Sod’s law it will and I won’t get a ticket because City have let the membership scheme slide!
I have similar concerns, season ticket holder for 20 years and may get caught out in the storm of plastics because I didn’t renew this year due to all the uncertainty. I’m sure the membership scheme will be back if there’s a sniff of play offs coming up though

Wouldn't think any chance of that. We're already debating the different ways of restricting demand from existing ST holders so they're not likely to sell more.
What's more debatable/interesting is whether and when they start selling next seasons.....
The 4K number will rise. I wouldn’t be surprised if the club sold more, the plan was to sell more when fans came back when they took them off sale at the start of the season but I’m not sure they were expecting a wait this long.
As for next season, wouldn’t think it will be too different to usual. Club won’t want to miss a trick if we’re still flying and they’ll be very confident fans will be back in near full capacity next season.
This will go way, way smoother than a lot of people on here seem to think. With the vaccine coming events all over the country due for summer including festivals have been given very positive indications.
Of course we should still expect a few government howlers and backtracks... but we can be genuinely confident the overall prajectory is going to be positive from here.
Keep the faith

I wonder if STs will go back on sale in some capacity as the number increases. I and a number of others I know were waiting for an announcement such as this before wanting to commit as it seemed pretty hopeless a few months ago
-
Wait for the backtrack.

I don’t even think Toolstation league teams consider new tarmac behind the clubhouse worthy of a little social media montage. Gave me a laugh amongst the shitstorm
