  1. I don’t see such a problem. At least they’re at the same stage in their career. Much rather this than a champion in a ‘warm up fight’ or something similar.

As for PPV, just look how many replies this typically dormant thread has got since the announcement. Personalities sell over quality of match ups these days. Boxing fans will mostly say they won’t tune in but will on the night if they’ve nothing better to do, and the fight still carries some form of casual audience, which is more than what most champions manage.

If I cried for lost fights or for fights not happening during fighters peaks half of Bristol would be underwater. Boxing is a *** of a sport and industry, just have to enjoy the fights as and when they come.

  2. I am incredibly suspicious as to why the Premier League have suddenly u-turned on this. If recent events are to be considered there is unlikely to be a lesser evil lined up.

That being said, Tracy Crouch has put the pressure on and forced through some positive re-forms recently. Perhaps the premier league is feeling it. Not for the want or love of her party, I do think we have a good egg in our corner.

Not us.  We don’t, as BCFC, own our own ground.  For that to apply to us BS would have to be broken up and sold separately with AG going to BCFC.

My long standing concern about the chaos BS will cause at point of SL’s withdrawal,  unless, of course, SL finds a buyer for the lot.  And where are they going to come from?

That’s why it’s more likely to be investment than an outright purchase.

It's now over 8 months since Nige took on the "project" . According to many, the problem is entirely with the squad and not the coaching. I disagree.  Nigel has made it very clear what he wants from the players and has very publicly stated that he'll get rid of those who dont buy into what he's trying to do .... which seems like just about everyone.

    Thoughts anyone?

There is no one out there that is realistically going to get some of these drips doing the basics right. We are where we are as a result of inept recruitment for years. It says it all when the young players Pearson has bled into the starting eleven have more understanding of gamesmanship and are making smarter on field decisions than our senior pros.

I fail to see how someone like Alex Neil going to magically remove the softness that is the detriment of this group of players? Or get miracles out of a midfield with an average age of 20? Pearson has recognised the issues, is transparent about them and has began the process of re-building. We can bounce from manager to manager but eventually someone is going to need time enough to build their own team with their own players and their own values. That kind of process takes longer than 8 months.

This team is infuriating to watch at times, not least when stood in a freezing Northern away end beneath falling snow, but this season has shown that a bit of leadership (Williams) can change how the entire eleven performs. We need more of it, and January is approaching. Lets have a bit of patience.

  5. Infuriating and fairly embarrassing to watch, not least for the 655 there in person, but we know this is a side where one or two bits of quality can make the difference. We need a midfielder with bite to play alongside James when he’s back (Williams will not stay fit) and one or two attacking signings to keep teams on the back foot.

I know it’s frustrating watching some of these drips but there’s no need for meltdowns. Most of these are not Pearson signings, nor would they be. We all know Sheffield United will be up there with this squad eventually.

Been trying to find a way to get in contact with him for a Cider With episode for about 18 months, he seems to be totally untraceable!

Anyone that knows him/his driver/barber/butcher that would be able to get us in touch with him, I will repay in cider ??

The Whitchurch toilets might be a good place to start the search ?

Yes sounded great on sky. Every time you get all parts of the stadium singing minus the the Atyeo it's incredible. Section 82, I think the singing block is, can't do it on their own.

Dolman, south stand, Lansdown Williams (all three tiers) and section 82 then you got some bloody atmosphere and passion.I bloody annoyed I took the easy option and watched on sky.

When the whole ground sings it’s like a gust of wind. You physically feel it spread through the stands.

Funny that when such phenomena is felt, we rarely throw it away.

Gutted to be missing game due to birth of new boy. After Pearson’s comments midweek (players not wanting to be here will be sold) and the realisation we don’t create/score enough at home, I think today he will go more attacking and we may see Semenyo & COD in actual wide positions hopefully making for a good game to watch.

1-1 with city equalising late first half (Weimann) and then a good solid second half which brings no more goals but enthusiasm.

    You’re what?!

    Priorities, mate.

It doesn't sound like a split dressing room at all. It sounds like there are a couple of players that don't want to be at Bristol City, for whatever reason, and that as a result they will be moved on at the earliest opportunity.

Maybe a small clique though. One is quite obviously Palmer, he is close with JD and a of couple others who could fit the description of being off the AG1
