  1. It's shite tbh. Joe Joyce against Lenroy Thomas, Paul Butler in a title fight v nobody you've ever heard of and Buatsi v someone are the 'highlights'. Safe to say I'll be stealing this one from the internet haha. I can scarcely believe- scarcely believe I tell you- that Wilder's offer turned out to be a crock of shit. They even cancelled the Friday meeting about the fight claiming it would be 'unproductive' to discuss it until after Joshua and Matchroom signed the thus far unseen and presumably entirely nonexistent contract. ******* jokers.
  2. Povetkin would easily be the 2nd best boxer AJ has ever faced if that was his next bout. edit- but what we all want is the Wilder fight of course.
  3. What's genuinely bizarre is that the WBC (We Believe Canelo) are calling a mandatory between the exact same previous mandatory and the number 3 in their rankings to become 2nd mandatory? And Breazeale is still the actual number 1 mandatory? **** you WBC.
  4. If they've really got $50m for AJ I guess they get to dictate- within the parameters of his broadcast deal with Sky at least. Hearn clearly thinks they want to get Joshua's signature and then tout the fight around to source the cash. If they can genuinely show they have the cash escrowed then the only legitimate stumbling block is the lack of rematch clauses. I can see why Hearn is saying it could be a stunt though, given the email/ Instagram showboating was directly from Wilder with zero proof of funding as yet. It's also weird that they were all scheduled to meet on Friday yet Wilder comes out with this publicly the day before, with a deadline to sign prior to the meeting. I'm treating it with very cautious optimism atm!
  5. Ooh, hang on though, 2 weeks of silence then this: Seems a bit weird to only give Matchroom less thsn 24 hours to respond, but if the money is genuinely there, AJ has to give it very serious consideration. I really wonder where Wilder's team have pulled this money from though, even with Al Haymon involved.
  6. Joshua v Whyte 2 for all the marbles is Eddie's wet dream haha!
  7. The fact that there has been a modicum of bitching from Wilder's team but zero counter offer despite their protestations and claims indicates they have no real interest in cashing out v AJ yet imo. It's rumoured that Joshua Povetkin is virtually done for the summer in Brooklyn too. Fury's first fight back looks to be v unheard of Albanian Sefer Seferi haha.
  8. Evening mate, did you catch the Charlo fight too? Impressive ko, him v GGG is a mouthwatering match up. I don't know if we can judge Khan on that 30 seconds but he certainly looked sharp. How much that Canelo ko took out of him we'll have to wait and see though. I agree Donaire looks shop worn, but he rolled back the years a bit in the 11th and had a good go. Frampton has an excellent chin now tbf. Nonito is such a class act out of the ring and proved it again at the weekend with his post fight comments and buying half of Belfast beer! I also thought Broner was unlucky not to get the decision, pain me though it does to say it! How much longer Mayweather Promotions will put up with his shit I don't know, he gave Ellerbee a right mouthful at the pre fight presser and made him look like a total dick.
  9. Fair play Frampton, good performance. They're talking about it being his best on BT but surely he was better in the first fight with Santa Cruz? Credit to him, he looked very good against a 4 weight world champ tonight, even if Donaire has faded.
  10. You couldn't really blame Tete, he quickly realised the guy wasn't going to fight then saved himself for the far bigger bouts incoming. Typical Warren match making.
  11. Late Frampton stoppage or UD imo. It might have been a different story if Carl was fighing Nonito 4/5 years ago, he was a great fighter at his peak, and gave a good account of homself v Rigo. He was easily the 2nd best in the Phillipines for about 7 or 8 years, but well past his prime now. He's still the 2nd best fighter Frampton has fought I reckon. 16 world title fights ffs!
  12. Well I'm glad I built that up hahaha. What is the point of being in a world title fight and not fucking fighting?
  13. Either that or crying, threatening to to shoot himself the knob end. He is eminently detestable. Davis is such an arrogant shit he can barely be bothered to make weight. I thought he was going to be better than Spence for a while but he believes his own unwarranted hype far too much.
  14. Yes, he might well be. Gervonta Davis is quite the **** too imo.
  15. Warren has ballsed Tete's career right up imo given the fights he could have had. Thank fuck he's going into the WSSB later this year, because he is a prodigiously talented fighter. This sort of tomato can crushing helps nobody, you're right.
  16. Based on Khan being unable to recover from shots. As soon as he gets tagged he starts swinging like a rusty gate instead of holding or getting on his bike and getting his wits together. Kell is too technically proficient to let him get away with it imo, and I reckon he has far too much in the locker for Khan after the 3/4 brutal kos the latter has suffered.
  17. Always though Kell would absolutely batter Khan and I still think it! I reckon Amir knows it too deep down.
  18. haha, I can barely believe Lo Greco was shit and gobby hahahaha Over to BT chaps!
  19. Holy shit, didn't realise Zolani Tete was fighting on BT tonight! Happy days! Such an amazing uppercut that, wow! Tete v Burnett in the WBSS is going to be incredible. He's next up on BT!
  20. Great stuff that Owl, chuffed for Coyle.
  21. Coyle Dodd is a great fight, i just wonder if Tommy has missed his chance, Masher seems to have recovered from the knock down. He hadn't. Big up Tommy, amazing performance!
  22. Keeler Cummings is a great fight on BT. Bad cuts for Keeler but he's gutting it out as best he can. And Coyle Dodd about to start on Sky, hooray!
  23. Evening all. Let us not discuss football on this thread today, haha. Channel hopping for England tonight!
  24. Yeah, Lo Greco caught a godawful 3 round pasting from Errol Spence a few years back and lost wide on points to Shawn Porter. Khan's been out for ages after a brutal ko though, so I'm not surprised they've gone to the bounds of acceptability for his comeback. Warren's Frampton v Donaire card is on BT at the same time too.
  25. Read this earlier, what a pisser. May promised so many great fights but the best 2 have gone down the gurgler already.
