  1. Yeah, it's really good to see him with the bit between his teeth again rather than a steak bake!
  2. Haha, the uncastrated boars and hedgehogs of Morecombe will be delighted with this news! I reckon it'll be someone Like Michael Sprott or Sam Sexton, they'll ease him in gently.
  3. Interesting fact I just read on Twitter: This is the 7th time Fury has been scheduled to fight at the Manchester arena. The first 6 (versus Haye x2, Wlad x2, Chisora and Ustinov) were all cancelled...
  4. Interesting to see what level he comes back at, but pleased he's back at all- I thought he was doing a Naz.
  5. Of course it would make more for the promoters here than in Russia you'd think, just illustrating that the amount of money they need to spend and a potential return on that amount is of little concern to some of the more opaquely funded Russian oligarchs!
  6. If the Wilder fight isn't made and it goes to purse bids Joshua may have no choice but to go to Russia or drop the WBA belt. When they wanted Wlad to fight Povetkin in Moscow rather than Germany in 2013 the Russians bid $23.3m compared to K2's $7.1m!
  7. It's the right decision tbh, they couldn't just let it slide because it was Canelo and everyone is desperate for the rematch. You can be sure a less famous boxer would have had the book thrown at them so they had to ban him too. It looks like Spike O'Sullivan is going to take one hell of a beating on Cinco de Mayo then!
  8. Yeah, more ill advised stuff from Wilder, and not the first time he's said similar. Mauricio Sulaiman is pissed right off! AJ will fight in Brooklyn in the summer against Miller or Povetkin imo, unless Wilder's team have a sudden outbreak of reality.
  9. Haha, seriously?! I get Wilder wants to keep being talked about, but that is total horse shit and makes him look like a knob. So the judge from NZ robbed him too then? Even Parker knew he was easily beaten ffs. As for Tyson, if he had won like that he'd be busy telling everyone that he's the HW Mayweather and how a 'body builder' would never beat him. Talk is cheap Mr Fury.
  10. What?! That certainly was not a close fight imo. Joshua won by a mile, Parker offered next to nothing.
  11. Easy night's work for Joshua, he barely broke sweat. You can only fight someone if they come to fight, and Parker resolutely didn't. If WIlder shits out, Povetkin or Miller are going to take a right pasting around June/July in Brooklyn.
  12. You have to say that the ref ruined that fight. Every single time it looked like it was going to get exciting he dived in. Parker's ambition was extremely limited despite his 'war' chat. Functional win by AJ.
  13. Poor ref and a very timid performance by Parker. Even the NZ judge gave it to AJ by 8 rounds. Parker wouldn't engage and the ref wouldn't let them fight inside. Fair play AJ, but I expected a LOT more from Parker.
  14. I really can't understand why AJ isn't throwing the uppercut as Parker comes in. He just doesn't seem to be able to put his punches together.
  15. He is a ******* disgrace. Won't let them work inside at all.
  16. Joshua well on top. A bit disappointed with Parker's effort so far tbh.
  17. I think so, for the first 5/6 rounds at least. It remains to be seen what sort of whiskers Parker has though...
  18. Bloody hell, how many more anthems does Parker want?!
  19. Of course mate, I'm not sticking up for Povetkin's cheating but it turned out he did nothing wrong that time. It was to do with the amount of a substance they had been using as a matter of course over there that was latterly banned that they had to get out of their system. Let's go AJ!
  20. Foster obviously felt that they held him up rather than him just falling against them, hence the count. The ref has to call it, and I think he was right (for a change!).
  21. Wilder ran away from fighting him in Moscow in 2016 when it was claimed Povetkin had doped, although it was subsequently proven he had done nothing wrong (on that occasion at least).
  22. Because the ropes held Povetkin up, so he is deemed to have gone down, hence the standing 8 count.
  23. Yeah, a free hit for Sasha. If Price had caught Povetkin with that left in the middle of the round rather than the last few seconds, he would have definitely taken him out.
  24. Oh dear haha. Good try Price. He always looked too scared to follow up the jab, but it was a semi brave effort.
