Think it's the fact that his record speaks for itself. Too emotional, too much nepotism, unable to detach the emotional element. Call it either Ego or whatever you wish.

He's not backed the one manager who has met most of the set targets given to him, who wasn't a nepotistic appointment. He deserves to be called out on it, especislly if we get nobody through the doors before the window shuts.

If NP walks, and say we get relegated due to the lack of squad strength and depth from selling Scott and Semenyo, SL's legacy can shove it.

I’m grateful for the foundations he’s put in place. The stadium rebuild, the massive increase in attendances, the non match day income and the academy setup.

We’re now a very attractive proposition for buyers. This club is crying out for success, and I think many of us feel that fresh ideas and new investment are needed.

  2. We’ll always have that little 4-5 month spell in 2017-18 where we looked like world beaters. Genuinely the best football I’ve ever seen us play and oddly, it came during a time where we had lots of injuries and LJ was forced into playing a settled team. Once he had options, and was able to sign players, he started overcomplicating things and we fell to pieces. Then along came Ashton and his awful recruitment process.

There’s a good manager in there somewhere, his stubbornness means we’ll probably never see it though.

  3. There are still a few people out there who refuse to embrace women’s football. After seeing that beauty of a game, they are certainly missing out. The England girls were fantastic. Professional, collected, clinical and defended as a unit. Very proud of them and I’m as excited for Sunday as I would be for any big game!

  4. We lose our best player

We’re sad to see him go

We wish him all the best

He could have done much better than (insert club name here)

We shouldn’t stand in his way if he wants to play at a higher level.

If he doesn’t want to play for us, let him go.

    Lets invest the money well

Cliched sound bites we’ve heard countless times before, and will do again. Across the world, it’s probably been said thousands of times during this transfer window this year.

It’s part of football, surely we’re all used to it? All I’m thinking about is Millwall tomorrow. I’m excited about hopefully seeing what Roberts can do. Got a great feeling about him. Maybe we’ll be having this conversation again in a few months when he goes to Bournemouth? Life always goes on… Talent comes, talent goes… Enjoy them whilst they’re here.

  5. Business is business I guess, but I can’t be the only one depressed that we’ve basically become a feeder club for a bankrolled outfit no bigger than Gillingham or Wycombe?

I think we all had much higher hopes for Alex than this, but hopefully he gets his big move one day, rather than disappearing into a black hole in their little matchbox of a ground.
