  1. I think the only way to really agree on an approach to this is to formally poll the fan base to determine the interest level in standing, and whether the demand for standing areas currently exceeds supply. If so, increase it accordingly, if not, leave it as it is.
  2. I'm not necessarily endorsing Riggers' idea, but you say it like the Lansdown Stand doesn't exist. Given the popularity and positive impact on atmosphere of standing at football matches, one out of three home stands given over to standing doesn't sound that unreasonable to me.
  3. Apologies if already shared, but this is a brilliant clip of the Radio Bristol commentary for the goal. Great work from Hadwin and Owers. We sound amazing too! I’m absolutely drinking in everything I can find from yesterday!
  4. We had about 15% of their ground, that’s about 15% of ours. So fair enough I think. Possibly means a bit of space in the Atyeo for home fans if the demand is there.
  5. Love this clip, it actually captures the noise and the mayhem behind that goal pretty well. What a sound when that ball hit the back of the net!
  6. That second half has got to be our best 45 minutes since first half against Manchester City away in the Carabao cup semi hasn’t it? Other suggestions welcome!
  7. It’s not as bad as the camera makes it look. The gap is because the lower tier slides back for athletics events. People moan about the stadium, and it’s certainly not perfect, but we’ve just had an absolute hell of an afternoon there!
  8. Not a particularly shallow angle, I wouldn’t say. Most stadium lower tiers are shallower than the upper tier. I’d say this one is similar to Wembley, for example.
  9. That doesn’t work today. It’s a sold out away end with separate entrances for the upper and lower tiers. Upper tier is safe standing. People need to go to their allocated seat, it’s the only fair thing to do today. The upper tier is safe standing. So that isn’t going to work.
  10. Just arrived. View from the top tier is a long way back from the pitch, but to my mind not as horrendous as some make out. Camera always makes it look worse. COYR!
  11. Very sorry to hear this. I had surgery for Ulcerative Colitis in 2011, so I can fully empathise with you.
  12. No, but that doesn’t mean West Ham don’t “give a toss”. I like to think the football family is better than that. If it was the other way around I would absolutely welcome a delay if it meant away fans didn’t miss out at great expense.
  13. Why rush to that judgement? You don’t know that. Whether they are able to or not is a different question, but they may well do their best to be considerate to the fans.
  14. Reduced service on the Elizabeth line. I’m at Ealing. Direct train from Ealing to Strenford was cancelled due to overhead wire problems, so now on one to Whitechapel. Not entirely sure if any Lizzy line trains are getting to Stratford.
  15. Direct? Thought you had to change at Whitechapel?
  16. For the avoidance of doubt, my understanding is that the Elizabeth Line is running from Paddington to Stratford AND BEYOND, for those us intending to board it somewhere between Reading and Paddington.
  17. Fair play, no apology needed and at least you had the balls to acknowledge it!
  18. Yes, that’s how I see it. That is simply how “safe standing” has been implemented at the London Stadium.
