As things stand it’s 3 wins and 2 draws in our last 5 at home. Keep hearing all this about our “shocking” form but I think it’s overstated. It’s the away form specifically that appears to be the issue. If we can chuck in a couple of away wins before the end of the season and keep up the home wins, who knows what we may still achieve - especially with Derby winless in six. I realise we haven’t won yet today though!

How many other clubs have improved their league position for four seasons in a row, including a promotion, while simultaneously spending £45m redeveloping their ground, releasing plans for a new training ground, and growing their attendances by around 50%?

Neither Eliasson nor Engvall have done anything particular to justify their inclusion ahead of Diony and Kent, certainly not the the extent that it is “absolutely shocking” that they haven’t been selected, to use your words. The is the first team we’re talking about, still with a realistic opportunity to make the play offs, a critical and winnable game, and you think experience and game time for individuals is the most important criteria for selection? Yeah all those transfer disasters that have seen us develop from relegation to playoff contenders while heading for a 4th consecutive season of league position improvement despite operating with a bottom half budget.

I’d say the sub goalie is arguably the most important sub in that if you need them you don’t have any other option! Put it another way, you’d rather only have six subs including a keeper than seven without. No idea, by the way!
