  1. Joining our backroom coaching staff for peanuts?! Can you imagine!!!
  2. What pleases me greatly about this result is that, combined with the Palace win, it effectively puts to bed the "last season repeating itself" theory. For a few still clinging to anti-Johnsonism, that felt like the last card they had to play.
  3. Pack has gone from first choice to third choice which shows the depth has improved and the squad is progressing. I'm not sure what more you expect in a relatively short period of time.
  4. Sorry Dave but it's not unreasonable to think that referring to "squad" depth means you mean the squad, not just a part of it. By definition. Either way it's still a harsh assessment of our midfield options, which are greater than they have been for a long time.
  5. An incredibly harsh assessment that doesn't acknowledge the squad improvement at all. Compare Pack to the third-choice midfielder from two years ago, when he was one of the first names on the team sheet.
  6. If Pack is now considered inadequate as a squad player, I would say that is testament to just how well the squad strength in depth has improved this season.
  7. Agreed. I just wonder if they're concerned about pushing him too much too soon.
  8. Not sure he's fit enough. LJ was forced to play him longer than he wanted on Tues. He subbed the sub remember.
  9. All those Premier League riches over recent years but still they haven't sorted out those pink seats. Really lets the stadium down. Hope ours don't go like that.
  10. Your definition of realism might not be the same as many others. I suspect the consensus opinion would put you at the pessimistic end of the spectrum.
  11. But we did have Tammy. And we weren't relegated by March. Take away the outstanding player at every club and all of their seasons would have panned out differently. Judge the season on what happened, not what could have happened if X Y or Z did or didn't exist.
  12. And good luck to everyone embarking on an epic voyage across the city on this most chaotic of days! Special mention to the train companies for recognising the difficulties and laying on a total of zero trains to the only accessible station. A big thank you on behalf of 26,000 people.
  13. A classic case of shoehorning blame to Johnson at any opportunity. My six year old knows to play to the whistle.
  14. Disappointed that Mark Little has returned his Cafu costume to the fancy dress shop.
  15. You wouldn't say that if it was your club. There is always a chance, especially against unremarkable midtable sides.
  16. Maintaining the gap while reducing the remaining games in which your rivals could potentially catch you by 25% is unquestionably gaining ground.
  17. You think getting men behind the ball to defend a crucial point when under siege from the opposition who desperately need the win is a terrible tactic? What would you have said if we'd conceded late on with two loitering around up top?
  18. It feels nothing like a defeat. It's a crucial point away from home against a key relegation rival that suits us far better than them.
  19. To give this point some context Blackburn's last 3 games are:- Wolves A Villa H Brentford A Even if we don't win another game, they will have to win 2/3 to overtake us. Despite chances to win, an excellent result for us.
