Except everyone's saying we've created chances since and should be out of sight. So which is it? Is it LJ's fault if individuals don't take chances? If he has set the team up in a way that means they create more chances than the opposition then I'd say he's done his job and the rest is down to the players.

Long way to go but the live table looks lovely. 6 clear of relegation in 18th. Could be safe on Monday.

Every time a game comes around now I wonder if this is an ultimatum game for LJ. Given the initial "no comment" from the club the day after Preston, I suspect there was some consideration over his future and wonder if the board have told LJ he has to win today. That said.... 1 win in 200 games didn't get him the sack. 8 defeats in a row didn't get him the sack. Relegation zone didn't get him the sack. 0-5 v Preston didn't get him the sack. ....so who knows any more?! Hoping for a win, expecting a defeat, curious about the aftermath.

Why restrict ourselves to "proven quality"? We don't have the luxury. I'd take anyone. Giggs, Redknapp, Pardew, Jackett......Cleese....

I always try to offered a balanced view, avoid knee jerk reactions and generally tend towards optimism when posting on here. But this is an absolute disgrace. Teams fighting relegation are supposed to do just that; fight. Disgusted.

It's a two horse race. There is always a chance. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been watching football for very long, or chooses to ignore the countless examples of underdogs winning.

I know we're crap but I don't understand the insistence that we're already down with 9 games still to go including games against both Blackburn and Wolves still to come. Why throw in the towel with so much football still to play? This is football, and you never know.
