Going today. Looking for a "reaction" performance today after two disappointing games. Suspect we might get it.
We also need to impress the newbies in today's crowd!
You have to wonder what on earth Bamba was doing as a free agent in October. He looked like he'd walk into pretty much any Championship outfit. I can only imagine he was holding out for a Prem move or asking for ridiculous money. Even so, strange he was unattached for so long.
Indeed. Never understood why some are so keen to judge the game as soon as the first goal goes in. It's as if as soon as one team takes the lead, minds are made up about the result and the inquest into team selection, tactics and formation can begin. Wait for full time - especially this season! Johnson's ability to change a game has been exceptional since he's been here.
This is exactly why you build a squad rather than just a team. Unlike last year, we're able to shuffle the pack and still field a team that looks more than capable of winning the game. Also entirely understandable given we've had midweek games for three consecutive weeks.
Feels like today's game will tell us a lot about the direction we are heading in this season. Win and it's four wins on the bounce, more momentum and increasing belief that we can be play off contenders. Lose and it will feel like we are probably a mid table side and nothing more.
I know this game isn't really quite that pivotal, but that's how it feels. Momentum and confidence counts for a lot in a division where there isn't much else between many of the teams.
He was the difference tonight in my opinion and short of his replacement scoring a hattrick, curing all diseases and ending all wars, he will return to the team immediately.
Yes, that was one of the games in my winless run. The last win I saw was the Walsall 8-2. We've scored less goals in the 12 games I've seen since combined.
Unfortunately I am going tonight, which as some of you know, doesn't bode well. 12 games without a win, and in 6 games this calendar year, I've only seen 1 City goal. Let's hope it's 13th time lucky!
What is it that's "happening" anyway? 3 wins in 9 third tier games and a neutral goal difference. What is this great and momentous event of our time that I have apparently missed?
