  1. For those interested, Tesco sell £3 promotional double-packs of pringles to get a free 1-day NowTV Sky sports pass.  Even if you just throw the pringles in the bin its still decent value.  I'm Chromecasting it tonight to my TV and the picture is usually very, very good.

If you've not used NowTV online before you can watch via tablet/phone or laptop.

Thanks for the tip. I won't need it tonight but I might in the future. Is it instantaneous? (i.e. can you access it straightaway, or do you have to wait 24 hours or something?)

  2. After 30 minutes I really don't think I could have picked a MoM; 2 goals from Wilbs, Kodjia looking different gravy, smith, pack and Freeman running midfield against 3 players who've all played in the Premier League, a back three who looked like they COULD ACTUALLY DEFEND!!! Special mention for the wing backs though. Del was out of position and bar a couple of mistakes he got away with was brilliant. Bennett, meanwhile, gave us a completely different dimension on the right. So, so happy with that win

I thought Kodjia was average tonight actually. Tried a few tricks that didn't come off, had one run at goal but didn't do much else

  3. Why? Some will argue you can name 10 teams better than England but based on what? Their style of play? Their top players? Their results?

Belgium are currently ranked number 2 - they are hugely over rated. They haven't beaten anyone worth raving about, cant even credit them for beating France as they are poor now.

Only 2 teams have beaten us in a competitive fixture since Germany trounced us 5 years ago. Last years WC was a farce, but I still think we are a top 10 team at least. We are certainly better than Romania, Belgium, Chile and Wales, regardless of what those rankings might say, though I'd accept that Italy and Spain would still be above us and possibly Netherlands (along with the other teams that are above)

    Chile would murder us!

  4. Some people's reactions to today's result/performance have been laughable, bordering on the disrespectful. We lost 2-0 away from home to an established Championship team who, for all we know, could finish runaway leaders at the end of the season. For the first hour or so, the match was even.  It turned out to be a comfortable victory but we weren't comprehensively outplayed. It'll just take time getting used to the faster, more skilful teams in this league. Remember the great times this team brought us last season. None of them deserve to be called names or written off yet.

  5. Walsall were mediocre. Not the worst by any means, but hardly ever did I feel nervous when they threatened (which was hardly ever).

Men v boys was not meant to sound arrogant, but just to highlight the chasm in class. Anyhow, just how often are City fans allowed the chance to be "arrogant". I'm fed up of us being downplayed and the perennial wallflowers!

No I didn't feel nervous either, because they offered zilch up front. But I would have liked to see us control play a lot more and play in a way that made the casual observer think, 'Wow what a team'. I think we fell short of that. Korey Smith, for example, was so so much better against Crewe. I was telling my dad to watch out for him because he's so good, but he was a bit average yesterday. Ah well, we did what we had to do and we have some silverware in the cabinet finally!
