It is so much better now, right?
No but that's not the point. How anyone can miss O'Driscoll is beyond me. I will never forgive him for taking us down without a fight last season
-
Have you had a SMS from the future?
I'm getting PMS from the present

Hope all the people who post incessantly on here but don't bother to come down to watch the dross that cotterill is producing are proud of themselves ! still as long as sod has gone your happy aren't you ? well done you heroes !
Oh give over. SoD was statistically the worst manager we've ever had. We were best rid of him

Why do people keep blaming the board? The keep backing manager after manager. It's hardly their fault.
I blame the board. They don't have a clue how to run a football club. God knows how Lansdown made so much money. Did he win the lottery??

I went against Stevenage, Watford and Carlisle and have to say enjoyed them all.
Nothing quite like it when we score/win. Can't beat that feeling.
Rare tho isnt it

Why do people even bother going?

Should never have sacked SOD. We played well against Orient and the defence looked organised. Today the players Cotteril has picked dont work and neither does the system. Early days but I believe the sacking was at totally the wrong time and we needed to stick with someone for some time.
Yes we should. He was sh*t

Lawyer, activist, prisoner, Prime Minister - they do say there's no such thing as a 'job for life' anymore.
But he's up there with Lincoln, Ghandi, Therasa and all that crew in terms of legendary (genuine meaning, not popularist) status and his impact on humanity. Not just 'a politician'.
'Er, that's not all Ghandi...that's from the time when me and Magz embraced the home-video phenonemon..."

A strong influence in the combat against racism, ended apartheid and gave many a fair chance to live as they deserved. RIP
Have you been to South Africa recently?

Being out in the wilds all day I didn't hear the news until 9.30 last night so thought I would leave my considered reaction until today.
I said the other day I thought the board had made an irrevocable decision to keep SO'D, whatever happened, and I'm very surprised and quite relieved that I was wrong.
He was an absolutely dreadful manager for BCFC who took us down in pathetic fashion last season and was on course to do the same again.
I'm very surprised so many are up in arms about his removal, his record is insupportable and there's no guarantee whatsoever City were going to improve enough under him to stay up. O'Driscoll wasn't up for the fight last season and the club absolutely could not afford a second ignominious relegation under his uninspirational leadership.
The right decision has been made imo, but this can only be confirmed by making the right appointment next. I suspect this is the over riding concern of most SO'D supporters, rather than the act of removing the man himself, because nobody can honestly say he was anything but an extremely disappointing failure at this club.
Amen to that

Glad he's gone but I would say give one more manager with a good record a chance and if that also goes t*ts up, it's time for the board to go.
-
I preferred it when we won it. Riley, Neville, Pritchard, Newman... great day that was.
Great days indeed. However, that was shortly after the club was at rock bottom, so any success felt like a Godsend. We should be aiming for higher these days.

Why not your lot seem to be doing ok under Wardy!
I wish we had bloody Wardy!
-
Newbie? Gas?
Nope, just annoyed
-
Surely you can't be serious?
Well, let's put it this way - in my 30 years of following football, I have never witnessed such a lame, pathetic run-in by a team allegedly fighting against relegation. That gives me very little confidence in this manager's motivational skills
-
Why would they change the manager?
Look at our last few results and our league position. That might give you a clue
-
Out with a whimper...........not a bang............I feel sorry for Anyone who paid good money for a season ticket for this season...........onwards to the delights of Oldham and Gillingham.......what a waste of time
I won't be buying a season ticket next season. Not unless they change the entire squad and manager
-
That's it in a nutshell. We support our local club and we have to pay the price for it, it's a price worth paying I think. We won't be in League 1 forever, we'll get our smooth another day.
Unlikely. When do we ever?
