  1. That's the problem, performance wise he is improving but after making mistakes I would have thought his concentration levels would improve at least but clearly not. It just worries me that he's kept in the team no matter what.

Just think some of the stick he gets is a bit unfair. He's clearly nervous on the ball, or whenever the ball comes close to him. But that's why he's playing at this level I guess

  2. Second goal was down to him IMO. Put the ball out of play under no pressure, then lost his man from the resulting throw, who then delivered the cross for their headed goal.

I think there's green shoots there though - he throws his body into everything

Pearson got beat easily by the by-line for the cross for the second goal, to be honest I can't really remember what else happened. So have to watch it again

  3. Huge huge 3 points. I honestly can't wait for Tuesday now. Will be leaving work early for it!

Performances at this stage of the season don't matter we just need points on the board.

JET....what a goal. Only at BCFC would morons want a player with that ability sold....of course we can do so much better can't we?

As for El-Abd absolute liability. He just gets worse every week.

Not sure what you watched, although he hardly had a blinder he did his job, no different from the rest of the defenders

  4. Shall we ask an unrepresentative sample of Nottingham Forest fans for their approval every time we appoint a new manager?

After all, they are known for their understated humility and sound judgement - like singing "one-nil to the famous club" seconds before we equalise.  ;)

I'm sure if you ask any Forest fan what they think of Steve McLaren every comment will be negative..

  5. Yep not to mention his lack of due diligence when it comes to potential signings - funny thing is he dont mind telling everyone neither as he just cant keep his big job shut (see his comments upon Wade Elliot signing).

Im embarrassed he's the manager of my football team.

I'm embarrassed that people like you support my football team

  6. Is 2 wins in 12 acceptable?

Of course not. With all this SOD vs SC crap going on I think we're all missing the point here, the players are the ones who should be getting a lot of the slack, that's now two managers they've underperformed for.

Look at the defending for the goals against Sheff Utd, completely comical. Especially the 3rd goal..

Also no ones mentioned since Osbourne has got a contract he's been dreadful..

  7. Rodgers had a shaky start, the first 5 games or so, then he got his act together, bought some great players like Sturridge and finished 7th.

SOD on the other hand, had a shaky 8 months, bought in some tripe like harewood and shorey and played a big part in our relegation (where I still blame Mciness, but SOD hardly helped)

If Rodgers won 3 games in 27 would he still be in the Liverpool job??

  8. Brendan Rogers was interviewed last night on talksport.

He was asked which English managers he admired.

    First name he mentioned?

    SOD.

Did he mention SC? I hear you ask...

    No, he did not.

    Why?

Because SC is not a considered, tactically minded manager who build success with a long term strategic vision.

SC flies in on a waft of cheap cologne, held up by strong hold hair gel and a firm jaw, clenched fists and a call to arms.

I am not an expert on football management, neither (believe it or not) are 99.9% of the posters on OTIB.

    But Brendan Rogers IS.

And no I am not a Liverpool fan either.

So why hasn't this unbelievably gifted manager walked into another job then, but instead being touted for the Shrewsbury job which he didn't even get??

Brendan Rogders didn't have to watch SODS football for 8 months, or listen to his dire, depressing interviews..
