What does that even mean "Coterill is on his side"..

We were playing well under SOD up until Flint threw away the three points away against Port Vale. We then had a three game blip (Wycombe, Crewe and Brentford) where the team looked at a lower point than ever before due to a lack of confidence. After that incredibly short blip (performance wise) we proceeded to go on the run of 1 loss in 7 games, and again I'll point out, that loss was caused by an individual error from Flint, hardly down to Sean's tactics. No matter how bad the performance was against Sheff Utd, it was far better than the performance against them the other day. We lost one game under SOD by more than a single goal, whereas it's already occurred four times under SC.
In fact, if you look at every loss under SOD this season, I'd say there was only two games where we were convincingly defeated (Posh & Brentford), individual mistakes cost us time and time again (as has been the case so often in recent years). I'd rather lose from individual mistakes than lose by looking a complete disorganised mess as we have done under Cotterill at times.
SOD's record was far from great, but it was clear there was progress being made, and in the long-term the club would have benefited for it. Instead the board panicked and let us all down. But hey, at least some the anti-SOD brigade are happy that Cotterill doesn't have a 'boring' voice for his press conferences, all is well after all.
So under SOD the losses and lack of points was down to individual errors, but under Coterill it's down to his shocking managing ability.. Right.

It had nothing on Rotherham.
Rotherham we actually scored, somehow.. So no it wasn't.. Plus Rotherham are a good team, United were absolutely horrendous

That game summed up to me how bad things had got under that last idiot.
Hoofball and possibly the worst game of football seen in years.
It was dire a long time before that ruddy great donkey hacked another into his own net.
O'Driscoll and passing football ? Anyone ever thinks that should be made to watch that game.
The SOD fans love to tell everyone how he only lost won game in seven, this was the one game he lost in that time, Christ he should of sacked 5 minutes after that game the performance was so horrendous.

Again, as I like this fact quite a lot. The Leyton Orient game has been the only fixture where SC has bettered the result of the previous manager in the previous fixture.
SOD didn't have the pleasure of playing Stevenage and the Walsall game was as much to do with a honeymoon period as anything else.
Assessing where we are right now, we are worse. Defensively we have fallen apart. We aren't scoring as many goals, our previously good goal difference is disappearing which could have been worth something come the seasons end.
Cotterill is failing and the fact that the only defence people can (falsely) come up with is he is better than the previous guy is testament to that.
I like this fact quite a lot, 3 wins in 27.. SC has already 5 wins and he's only been here 3 months, it's hardly glittering form but facts are facts SC is a better manager than SOD is for this club. SOD might write excellent programme notes, but results wise probably our worst ever manager.

Sounds like the Sheffield away game was even worse and the goals conceded under SC is much worse than the last stages of the SOD era - SC appointment has moved us backwards
Right, so someone who has a much better record than our last manager is moving us backwards??

I was at both Sheff U games. I'll say no more, except don't judge anyone on one game.
Ok. judge him on all the other games then..

Just listened to his interview, looks like he's about to burst into tears
-
He doesn't help himself with his absurd comments, but at least he said it as it is and haven't insulted the fans intelligence like other managers have
-
Absoloutly delighted we won, but how many times have we seen us a win a game, then the next week we play like crap and we're back to square one?
The next 4 games are easily winnable, all of them.. we can make our lives so much easier in the future if we keep picking up points
-
Was awesome to watch opponents defence panic, underhit back passes and misread each other.
That's usually us!
Orients confidence is right down you can see.
Be surprised if they go up.
with all due respect if a team goes up with under a 4,000 crowd each week then somethings not right...

Fair enough, of course he makes strange comments but I'm sure his number one priority is Bristol city, not himself
