  1. That's because they set up with 10 men behind the ball because we gifted them two goals from corners. You're talking nonsense to suggest the formation was at fault. We were incredibly poor defending two set pieces and that's what cost us. Agard should have been on, there was no one running the channels in the second half
  2. Can't understand why we didn't bring Agard on for Wilbs at about 60 mins. No one making any kind of runs.
  3. I can only assume you're not here. They've created nothing at all from open play so how you can say we keep getting caught on the counter I don't know.
  4. This is the most frustrating game and it's Leeds all over again. Absolutely all over them going forwards, playing some fantastic football and making chances. Kodjia has been immense. Two goals conceded from two corners - Burnley's only proper chances. Really need to buck up defensively. With a bit more luck Flint and Kodjia could have two each already. COYR. Goals left in this game.
  5. Rightly so. Just makes us look like morons to be honest. Fans on the pitch for salvaging a home point three games into the season FFS. How hard is it to stay in your seat? No wonder other clubs think we're a backwater small time outfit.
  6. Dominated the first half without really testing their keeper. Only chances we conceded were of our own making. Overall performance was worthy of three points and it's not because of Leeds ability that we didn't get them. If we can cut out the silly defensive errors we can stop giving ourselves a mountain to climb. Very much could and should have been all three points. On to Saturday now, a big test. Boro will be considerably more of a threat going forwards than Leeds were.
  7. Stats from tonight really prove my point about our defending. Fantastic offensive formation but three chances conceded and two of those resulted in goals. Both of which stemmed from getting caught out making poor decisions. Absolutely buzzing though. Really feels like a win and a big confidence boost going into a really rough away game.
  8. Fantastic stuff and full credit to them for salvaging it. However despite my elation I stand by my concerns about our defensive frailty. Make no mistake this could and should have been three points. They created nothing all game other than from our gifts. But this feels like a win so I'll pipe down.
  9. Maybe not but when is he allowable time to start being concerned? If not 4 games, 8? 10? 20? Another couple of performances like this and it'll be 5 played and zero points. Cotts will be incredibly worried about our defensive inability, no matter what he says. And he's not the only one! It's not like we've even played top end teams yet. I'm definitely not a panicker by nature but to suggest there's nothing to worry about and it's all good is wide of the mark!
  10. All I'm saying is three teams out of three have beaten us comfortably without any of them playing very good football. At this level it's pretty clear we're going to have to be considerably better defensively to make this system work for us.
  11. To an extent, but you have to think that the system is used by almost no one for a reason. When you're the best team in the league by a distance it's a different proposition. Winning 5-4 is fun, losing 2 and 3 nil isn't.
  12. Apologies, misinterpreted what you said. It's seriously worrying how naive we look defensively. We are going to leak goals for fun.
  13. 11 goals against (and counting) in 4 games is a start... Constantly being done on the counter attack so if we insist on sticking to a back three we need to get seriously better at defending or stop giving the ball away so cheaply as it's costing us goals in every game.
  14. There is no other system? What a ridiculous comment. There's a reason 99% of teams play with a back 4.
  15. The standard is incomparable. Have you watched us at all this season? We look like conceding every time we lose the ball at the moment.
  16. Desperately need to forget the idea of playing with a back 3 at this level.
  17. Everyone around me blaming the ref, casually ignoring that we played on for two minutes
  18. That's what's frustrating. Better team against Brentford and tonight, both times undone by poor decision making and only our own mistakes making it easy for the oppo.
  19. Harsh. He should have stayed on his feet but why was he out in that situation in the first place? Because of terrible decision making and trying to be audacious instead of a simple pass. Got to blame those who allow a 4 on 1 as soon as we lose the ball! Wing backs playing as wingers on the edge of the opposition box....your centre defenders better be bloody good or that's what happens. Doubly frustrating when you've undone yourself by crap decision making
  20. There is when you make completely stupid choices. Wing back trying to take on 2 players when he has easy passes left and right, then wonders why they have a 3/4 on 1 situation. Absolutely schoolboy mistakes made in every game so far costing us stupid goals.
  21. Looked like the keeper got something on it and judging by players reaction when a GK was given I'd say so.
