  1. It really is a terribly sad case. I don't know her incredibly well, but she has been around the club for years and Rovers were a huge part of her- and her husbands- life. Obviously no one can condone what she has lost her home in paying it all back and I imagine that she will regret her actions every day for the rest of her life.
  2. They had the ground, the membership didn't want to move there, it caused a few ructions I can tell you.
  3. I really don't know what to say , other than I promise you , while there may have been talk of a move to Bish, the original plan was to move to Almondsbury, it caused quite a big rift amongst some Dings members. We even employed ex Rovers director Martin Flook to help get the move through.
  4. it wasn't, it was the Almondsbury site that Rovers just bought, I went to the meetings and everything!
  5. Dings were happy with it, and the deal was in effect done several years ago, when the original plan was for Dings to move to the land that Rovers have just bought for their training facilities.
  6. I know. I always feel a tinge of envy when I drive past.
  7. It's actually One stand One terrace One pavilion Two tents Which makes a grand total of 5. So we win.
  8. I don't think I have, one bloke said something and a couple of others put him right. Anyway, it's only the internet, people really shouldn't get so angry on it- the bastards.:)
  9. Am I? Oh dear, I'll take a peek and stick up for meself then! Yes I was at Hampden, bit tough on the nereves but a great day!
  10. Dunno- didn't read it! I struggle with his posts a bit! Was it something about the ground? If it was, I rarely read stuff about what/maybe/shoulda/coulda happen. If we get a ground we do, if we don't we don't. It won't affect my support for the club.
  11. I know! I think I just popped over here for a nose and a laugh because you were having a bad time of things, and as my Rovers forum name had 'Gas' in it I thought I'd try and sneak in as it were I wish I had chosen someone different, every time I log in I struggle with the spelling of Dennehy!
  12. I don't think Maih Dennehy was anyones favourite!
  13. I wouldn't call any attendance a 'disgrace', but I must admit I would have thought Bradford v Millwall would attract a significantly larger attendance than that.
  14. Sligo's lovely! It gets a bit of a slagging but I quite like the place
  15. Oh the blue & white of Bristol, I can see it still We've soft and tent like grandstands But at least we pay our bills
  16. I won't have anyone slagging off anywhere that produces these kind of classics. How's yer Mammy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdWC1LM1m5M
  17. I know! Mind you the Millwall game was an absolute cracker. I do get to watch a lot of sport, and I'm away from home quite a lot . I was pushing my luck for two weekends away in a row going up to Glasgow though. I will be up there for the cup final on the 27th
  18. All opinions of course, but to me he seems the exact opposite of what you say.
  19. I missed the 5-1, I had a ticket but for some bizarre reason I chose to got to Rovers v Millwall , I did go to Hampden though and I'm pleased to confirm that Rangers really are truly woeful at the moment I have no idea about Higgs actually. I'm pleased he has gone though. Wael comes across really well and things have looked better than they have in a long while. Having said that things can change drastically in football over a relatively short period of time, so you won't find me making any rash predictions about our future!
  20. It did get all a bit 'North Korean' at our place for a bit. I'm not sure if John was banned, but he-along with several others- were treated pretty shabbily by some at the club. Lansdown has come in for some-in my opinion ridiculous- stick on here at times, you might do well to remember that at least he hasn't resorted to excercising his substantial financial muscle to keep people quiet.
  21. She does. I was known for penning the odd article meself actually! I think the fanzine just died a natural death as did many others after their heyday in the early 90s.
  22. We dreamed of places like Kiddy that season. I think it happened at Altrincham and/or Alfreton.:(
  23. Well maybe not animals and windows, but I was in the East End the day a few of yours came in at the end of the game and saw some pretty cowardly indiscriminate stuff going on.
  24. As cringeworthy as the video of the Rovers 'lads' having a go at a minibus is, let's not pretend that doesn't happen at your place either.
