  1. I thought he was older than that.
  2. So we are expecting an attendance of around 25k? Always get a good crowd for the first game and if we perform well, the crowds will stay high, so a good display will be vital to our income stream. Not sure whether we will see any of the new boys - Roberts maybe? Has Alex Scott really got a knock or is a transfer imminent? Looking forward to the season despite the number of sicknotes we have already before it even kicks off.
  3. So what happened to the best stadium in Bristol at the Fruit Market then? Did it turn out to be a lemon after all? I guess they couldn't steal the land or get it for free which probably ruined that plan.
  4. I'm hoping that this is not the starting lineup for next week as if I was picking the team, Tanner, King and Cornick would probably not be in my first 11 and I would probably have selected Conway rather than Bell. That's not to say they are bad players, just that we have better, fitter and generally more able players in the squad. Maybe the HT changes will give us a better idea of who Nigel intends to start next week.
  5. As someone who chose to use the samsung wallet rather than the google wallet, it is a bit disappointing that the digital season card was not made available for both (or perhaps it is and I didn't notice).
  6. I can see why Alex would love to play for Spurs as the team he supports but that would really be a bad move for him as he may not get the game time he needs to develop. All the talk about Wolves and Bournemouth is interesting, but I still think that West Ham will come in with a late offer with the money from selling Declan Rice burning a hole in their pocket. For Alex himself at his age, money should not be his main concern. He needs to go somewhere he is likely to get game time or stay put for another year and continue his development here.
  7. Even worse, not only were there 40k sags in the stadium but also another 4 million locked out. Back in the real world they have nowhere near 40k fans and I think they might struggle to cunjure up 10k with a bit of exaggeration.
  8. Hope they were insured. However if there was no break in, the insurance may not cover it.
  9. BT Sport Youtube channel is a stutterfest. Any better ways to watch?
  10. Gotta be the biggest team in Bristol with the best away support and skint billionaire owners surely. There's no team bigger in the football league let alone in non league football.
  11. Can someone make sure Max O'Leary is made aware of the wind as he can't kick straight even on a still day.
  12. Not really much to play for for us as we are mid table and unlikely to be going up or down with few games left, though either are still mathematically possible. Very different for Boro though as they are 4th and still hoping for an automatic spot. Our players will just be playing for their places, to be in contention for next season and maybe contracts in some cases. Still as usual looking forward to 5.30 and hoping for a decent performance from us. At least the forecast is fine after 3:00 p.m. albeit somewhat windy. For those unable to make the game, you will either need to watch on Sky, NowTV or find a dodgy stream (I'm sure there will be a few).
  13. I reckon he is the ******* child of Callum O'dowda and Nicolas Eliason ? Not the best we've seen him today but exciting watch. Hoping for an increase in end product.
  14. I was wodering what an AI chatbot could tell me about their supporters and this is what it said: There have been incidents of violence involving Bristol Rovers fans in the past. In 2017, a woman was seen “punching a police horse” during a fight outside a pub following Bristol Rovers’ 1-0 defeat to Oxford1. In 2022, a man was found guilty of punching a police horse during a football game at Bristol Magistrates Court and has now received a football banning order for three years and over £1,000 in fines2. Is there anything else you would like me to find?
  15. I started watching City just before they started work on the Dolman. From memory around 1968. That's 55 years of pain and suffering ?
  16. With Mehmeti, I can see why we signed him. I see effort and skill but limited output that we (and he) can maybe address. With Harry Cornick, I can't see anything positive in his play and remain at a loss to understand what our scouts were able to see that I can't. To be fair, our forwards have not been receiving much support from midfield of late and I have noticed with Cornick that when he gets the ball, there seems to be little on for him in that there is nobody around him getting into space or any easy/obvious passes on. From a formation perspective, I really don't know what suits us best. It seems that when we change it, it seems to work, then in a couple of games the other teams work us out, so we may need to keep them guessing and mix it up a bit (even though it's nice to see a settled team and formation in an ideal world). This season is probably a write off now and we need to concentrate on building something for bext year (probably without Alex Scott but with one or two incoming to improve things). The frustrating thing is that the next few games would have been so much more exciting had we not thrown away some of the matches we should have got points from and been 8 or 9 more points further up the table.
  17. Jesus, spouting abuse like that and you call someone else an idiot ?
  18. So what kind of entity might you be? Oink oink. Just stating that he looks useless and giving examples to demonstrate. Now please keep it civil.
  19. Of course I would like to see him doing his job and scoring goals, but so far I've seen nothing to impress me as regards strength, pace, skill, ability to pass a ball to a team mate or hold up play. I really can't understand what out scouts were able to see in him. But of course, I would love him to prove me wrong. He certainly seems to make an effort but his output is close to zero. Not the sort of player to bring on when you want to change a game and doesn't look up to L1 football, let alone Championship based on what he's done so far. Probably the best way to help him would be to transfer him to a L2 team where he might be able to make an impact (and even at that level, I'm not convinced).
  20. Looks like we sold a diamond and bought a lemon.
  21. RobinsTV working fine here in Barcelona. Shame the same could not be said about the team.
  22. Not the kind of performance that makes you want to renew your season tickets, was it.
  23. A short flight to Barcelona to watch the game for me then.
  24. Someone on FB said that Swansea are not allowing RobinsTV to stream the game. Anyone know if this is true or why?
