  1. I started reading this and it just turned in to mew mew mew mew mew mew mew mew mew. Stop bloody whining!
  2. I wish he had said 'Fantal .... No ice'. Still made I laugh though.
  3. Matey at Luton seems to be doing pretty well! I still wouldn't want LJ or JMc back with us in any capacity!
  4. God that kit is proper gurt lush.
  5. I did try and offer a different view to dipped reputation in the post you have just responded to.
  6. I reckon it's because the general public admire DCFC for working so hard against all the odds and they are everyone's second fav team (or third after the G@s). It's the fault of the EFL and HMRC and they have been victimised for far too long. In addition, Wayne oozes charisma and is sooo interesting to listen to in both pre and post match interviews. He is a great role model off the pitch as well and all round good egg. #sarcasm
  7. Agree with this BS4. I don't think NP's reputation has dipped. I think his reputation precedes him in that Owners / Chairman are wary of him. On the lines of, he could do a good job but do I want to employ someone that will challenge and push back and make things uncomfortable at times? The above scenario seems to have become a reality for SL & Co and they should've known what NP is and can be. With this in mind, they should now bite the bullet and support him with what he wants as long as what he wants is within the clubs means and timescales. A caveat to the 'timescales' this has to be sensible from both SL and NP.
  8. I've sussed it! It should read.... 'Pearson makes an admin mistake'. As apparently, he is to blame for everything else as well according to some.
  9. Agree with all of that. Hopefully, there is a plan with the powers that be and that plan is to stick with it and leave football matters to football people. That's all it is though, 'hope'. Whatever, does happen in the future then at least there are still plenty of die hards around and long may that continue. The 'rattle out of pram attitudes' are quite loud but that is usually the case isn't it? I still feel that despite all of the things that are wrong with the club at the moment and things will look difficult for the foreseeable future the majority of fans are just digging in and getting on with it.
  10. Tin hat time for you Red I guess if people choose to not turn up, not renew STs or memberships then it's their choice. I do get it and I do understand it. However, I'm old enough to remember the dark days of 82 and let's not forget how dark it was after that. For me though, I tend to be even more of a supporter in the bad times than the good. Yea, I know that sounds ridiculous but I develop even more of a siege mentality in times like these and when my mates take the p!ss because we are at times bloody awful. I just say to them go back to supporting your Premier League team on the TV and leave me alone to follow my team, my club from the City I was born. I still get the buzz on match days and I still leave the match saying 'never again' then the next game comes and there I am back at the match. Most of us knew what was coming this season (or worse) and most of know what's coming next season and probably the one after that too. For me as a fan in my 50's I'm just going to dig in, keep calm (sort of) and carry on as I always have.
  11. They way I look at it I really don't want JL in charge but he sort of is but with Pops pulling the strings. However, given that he is sort of in charge then I'm glad we aren't hearing anything from him. So inept, at everything! When we had a relatively successful period (cup run) SL was bloody everywhere and on every radio, couldn't shut him up. I'm not saying I want to hear anything from either of them but it really does boil my p!ss when they only appear when things are good. Which is why we haven't seen or heard from them for such a long time.
  12. Unfinished business? He had plenty of time and money to finish his business and he and those around him totally f@cked it up. He has had his opportunity and that went on far too long. Obviously not just his fault we are in such a state but he was definitely a big part of it. I've said it before within other topics but if NP stays we will be better off than now but I'm talking another 2 seasons not just this summer. If he walks of his own choice then I really worried about where we will be not only next season but the coming few seasons. I'm not a flag waiving NP fan but not only is our best option to turn things around. I think he is our only viable option.
  13. Happy Friday to all my fellow long suffering City fans. I hate Rovers! I know it's a sh!te post but I don't like seeing it on Page 2 of the topics!
  14. It was rocking but my word it feels longer than 7 years ago to me. Maybe because it's been so difficult to watch over the past few seasons that I've actually been looking forward to the season finishing. I used to dread close season!
  15. Having the misfortune of attending games versus Newcastle and Villa relatively recently their fans were obnoxious at best. Self righteous bell sniffs of the highest order in the same mould as Leeds fans. The Lampard thing really grinds my gears because of the whole Frank Lampard's Derby thing. Media in general were pretty much knocking one out over it all. However, look at all the loanees he had at his disposal and he still failed. Liked him as a player but he now just irritates me.
  16. I think it will be very tight but Everton will stay up. I've always thought of Everton as a bit of a meh club. They just don't bother me. The only time I want them to win is to shut up the tedious never been out of the South West Liverpool 'fans' and I can't even remember when that last was! Do people dislike them more because of Lamps?
  17. it's a shame that the shirt wasn't buried with the little druggie, cheating c@nt!! #stillbitterandtwisted
  18. I have no idea on the final outcome but any self respecting City fan would be a nutter to predict we will do any team in this league 'easy'. I predict that Sammie Szmodics and that ****t JCH will both notch. Hopefully our boys will pull out all the stops and get a positive result.
  19. Actually, I feel that would be a minus square rather than square one. ?
  20. I guess my point is that the 'definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results' I can't take credit for that as it was Albert Einstein. So unless SL sells (I'm not convinced that will happen in any definition of short term) then even if he gets rid of NP or NP walks then this quote applies. As far as NP is concerned I actually trust him more about the football side of things than SL. So, as things stand I feel that if NP stays for say the next 2 seasons we will be in a better position than we are now. Just my opinion mind.
  21. That would be a disaster but it's happened to bigger clubs than City. However, if I owned the club the number one priority now is to avoid the scenario you have outlined above. That may sound like an obvious thing to say but I'm not convinced that SL and those around him have some delusional thoughts that we will be challenging in the top half of the table next season. I feel as things stand the club is probably at the most critical point since probably 1982. I know that sounds a bit dramatic but if the club don't get things right or at least mostly right over the next 2 seasons then I really fear for our beloved club. Anyway, I'd better get back to work!
  22. Loads of great points on this well trodden topic. No point in me typing what I agree with and don't agree with. For me it just feels like we are now just 'also rans' rather than anything else. I just can't see that changing any time soon not because of Pearson but because we were so far gone i.e. the rot has been so deeply set that it will take years to fix rather than a summer of wheeling and dealing. I'm not being pessimistic here, I'm being a realist. I just hope that SL is of the same mind because whether one is an NP fan or not, then to make a change at any point in the the next 2 years to me would be a wrong move. Of course NP may choose to walk at some point and that to me would be as disastrous as him being fired. I would settle for a couple of consolidations of mid-table finishes even after this season. That should be enough time to cut out the rot and start building towards something that sees us challenging at the right end of the table. I know this amount of time will be too long for some fans but so much damage has been done and it's going to take an almighty effort and time to get us back on an even keel again.
