I always enjoy Hav's articles and none more than today. I share his sentiments regading the criminals in charge of their country and have, during my travels, met many Russian "businessmen". Without exception I have found them ignorant, ill-mannered oafs who have lined their pockets while old ladies sit on Moscow streets selling their few remaining possessions in order to eat. Having got that off my chest - Hull 1, City 2.

Sitting here at arms length one takes stock of the situation and it is difficult to see how the Gas can finish the season in their current form. Personally I do not wish them to go under - where else could we get this level of entertainment? But one should also take a wider view - surely a city the size of Bristol deserves more than one decent team. So, I hope they survive - as long as they are always below us (which seems likely).

I watched on BCTV and, for once, saw most of the game. I have to say that I thought BC were brilliant - some of the best football I have ever seen in watching BC for nearly fifty years. I am talking about skill which, for so long, was pushed aside by effort. Today, skill was king. Long live skill!
