  1. Sunderland fans have worked out that David Brent talks bollocks after 12 games. It took Lansdown almost 5 years. It should be laughable but actually angers me to think we replaced a top bloke and great man manager and motivator with that cretin.
  2. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mr-johnson-post-shrewsbury-defeat-video.1541667/ https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/not-bringing-our-usp-out-in-games.1541665/
  3. Yes I also had a mate who suffered similar consequences, funny thing is I would never have had him down to do what he did. A mad, surreal, drunken day.
  4. Made a last minute decision to go if only to tick off another ground. Scrappy game lack of quality. First half we started ok but Wigan came more and more into it and Frankie made a couple of good saves. Second half Wigan faded and for some reason took off their best player Obertan. City finished stronger and just about deserved the win. Afraid to say Taylor will never be a Championship player. Tomlin believe it or not worked hard and did ok. Flint was a rock. Wigan have a similar defender Jake Buxton nothing got past him. Small minority started Johnson out chants during the game but were quickly drowned out
  5. He's spent more that any other manager in our history on a complete new squad and has broken the record for straight defeats. I've been watching City since 1968 and I have definitely not seen a worse managerial appointment than Johnson, and that even includes SOD.
  6. Agreed. Ipswich at Ashton Gate were one of the most inoffensive football teams I have ever seen and that McGoldrick quality at this level but talk about a player going through the motions to earn his money.
  7. On £10k a week I'd say most people on this forum would put up with however you think he was treated. But you could pay him £100k and that will not give him the qualities needed to manage. He may be a good coach, tactician and all the rest, I just don't know, but IMO he will not be strong enough to manage certain types of player.
  8. Yes agreed, and therein lies the reason why I have always doubted LJ will be a successful manager. Can't see him having the strength or forcefulness of character.
  9. Sorry the thread is about 10 pages, which post number? Or which ones did you highlight?
  10. How does refuting your claim that dislike of SC was backed up with "debate", have anything to do with what I thought of SC as a manager. Although, if you want to go on to that, yes I do think SC could have turned it around IF he had been given the backing. And I did say from the day LJ was appointed I cannot see him being a good manager for Bristol City, in fact I said if he takes us out of this division it will be down not up. Hope I'm wrong, but my opinion is based not on irrational dislike, just common sense analysis.
  11. The fact is the thing which "Spud" in particular slated SC for he would not back up with hard fact; therefore the so called "debate" you refer to was non existent.
  12. No that is incorrect. There was never any "debate", just insinuations about what was wrong behind the scenes because of SC. They may have been wrong, they may have been right, but the insinuations were never backed up by hard fact. And I say that as someone who knows KITR and Harry.
  13. Correction it was 498. I had a box in the Norwich & Peterborough, for the benefit of my grandfather who is 99 years and was a season ticket holder at Carrow Road for 40 years and before that used to watch at their previous ground The Nest from the 1930's. Eight from Bristol and 4 from Norwich. I would upload some photos but haven't got a clue how to do it. Delia's cooking wasn't all that maybe too many sherrys. I've watched more games at Carrow Road over the past 45 years than any other place but Ashton Gate, and I love Norwich and Norfolk. As for the game, as I expected, we were second best. Norwich weren't as good as I thought they would be, but for above reasons have always been my second team and hope they go up. On the games I've seen so far, which is all of them, about mid table for BCFC if we are lucky. As for player ratings: If Tomlin put as much effort into football as he does at arm gesticulation, he'd be some player. Joe rapidly becoming our best player.
  14. No it's not. For example can you establish SL's wealth from Companies House?
  15. How are we "on course" for league 1 when there are 4 teams below us? Of course it would have been nice to have pressed on a bit better this season but there are 23 other teams who all want to do better.
  16. I really don't understand your view. Mine is that despite results the overall entertainment has been fantastic this season and in most games City have played a big part in that with some great football. Greater realism and sense of perspective required surely.
  17. Cotterill's record: Year One - took us from bottom to comfortable safety. Year Two - won the league with a record (for us) points total. Year Three so far - not in the relegation zone which most would have taken before the season started. That's fact and IMO the football this season is far from shite. Your comment is so far from reality.
  18. Not sure why so precious about it after all there is almost universal agreement JET was unfit with a lethargic style and only looked interested when the ball was at his feet, he's hardly likely to be any different off the pitch, just part of his make up. I think also his style meant everything slowed up when the ball came to him whereas the manger likes the ball being zipped around the pitch. As I said great talent but a maverick in the Bowles Worthington mould if you are old enough to remember them.
  19. No need for that there is a discussion going on, I will make a comment when I feel like it, if that's alright with you. Was just passing on an opinion from what has been seen. If its accurate it definitely won't be slanderous and even if not accurate if I emphasise its an opinion based on observation it still wont be slanderous, but anyway maybe you can say why its categorically untrue .
  20. Great talent but poor attitude in training which gave wrong signals to other players particularly younger ones and that's why he was moved on.
  21. Good answer I like that. But we aren't Real Madrid and don't mean to be funny but you aren't Klopp, Suarez, Moureinho, or Shearer. I'm assuming. No more insight than the rest of us so why not quit pretending. What you do with your laurels has no bearing on anything. Get behind the manager and the players. I do though accept certain aspects of the club may be different
  22. 1. I didn't say our recruitment was great. I said Kodijia is near top of goal scorers. It countered your statement about being baffled about the recruitment policy. 2. When "constructive criticism" is only ever "criticism" it isn't constructive. Your posts are 99% are negative towards SC and our club. You did say about SC you would "get rid". Let's see end of season. 3. On the contrary I don't find your posts dull and boring. The Pedant in me says I never said that. I find your posts stimulating but useless. As in, if only we had a better striker we'd win more games. No shit Sherlock. 4. You could ignore me too, "Simples". Not trying to have a row Christ I haven't got a clue who you are, but your mindset is negative negative negative. We had one of our best seasons I have seen in almost 50 years and you just want to criticize. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride.
