  1. I just see it as another way of getting Bristol City on the World stage. Play the Wurzles , Elton John, Killers etc and just happen to mention they've played at Ashton Gate home of Bristol City. Move over JP.
  2. Does tonight's result mean we are currently a worse team than Northern Ireland? They only lost 1-0
  3. I believe both were available at the recent Killers concert. The jerk chicken was lovely and no queue, presumably as it was inside and not outside where everybody seemed to be queuing
  4. Whilst the OK readers may well have been in the stadium, I suspect the TV audience would have mainly been football fans. Yes the football is not perfect but there is still the odd great pass or tackle from the ex professional or a surprise from a celebrity. It also raised £15m for charity.
  5. Jamie Vardy and Ian Wright did bigger step ups and it didn't turn out too bad for them. I like his attitude he's obviously been promised playing time, and feels he has a point to prove . A fans favourite at Forest Green, I think he could quickly become one of ours.
  6. So it's not if you 'Hate the Gas' stand up but if you 'love Joe Root' shoes off. .
  7. Watched it today Shame that there weren't any teams from Bristol or the West.
  8. Neither do I. I thought both Wells and Palmer would provide the creative spark for us, but as has been proven many times some players just aren't the right fit for the club or vice versa.
  9. and do you think it's a strange buy for Mark Robbins?. Palmer hasn't played much for us this season, and yet Coventry seem happy to sign him.
  10. 53,000 Sell out this afternoon (12th June) @ London Stadium Celebrities v World XI for UNICEF.. On ITV . Two interesting managers Harry Redkapp v Arsene Wenger, and a chance to see some stars of the not too distant past Results currently stand at 5-5. One thing it won't be is a bore draw.
  11. There's always Lloyd Kelly or Aaron Cresswell.
  12. I wonder what this means in respect of Aden Flints move and indeed Wayne Rooney.
  13. and the City fans at the game got a mention on TALKSPORT. Also mentioned other clubs in Championship & League 1 but somehow no mention of Bristol R*vers.
  14. It wasn't the money. It was the players felt it was a better atmosphere than the Millennium
  15. The goalkeeper is always a difficult position , yes Pickford played well but we know he plays well for England (he's also been better at club level lately) . This game was the ideal one to have rested him and played Ramsdale . It will be Interesting what Gareth Southgate does on Tuesday , I suspect as we lost, Pickford will be retained so an opportunity lost.
  16. Listening on TALKSPORT Gabby Abongalor bemoaning England losing against Hungary and saying Hungary are a poor team. If Hungary are poor , what does that make England ? We are not the only so called 'Big Club' to lose this week. They beat us and I just wish sometimes we would accept that on the day they played better than us, and say to the opposition when they beat us 'Well Done'. Now onto Tuesday
  17. Although he only played 40 games for us, we missed his presence in midfield for a lot longer.
  18. Me too. Don't see the point of someone coming on here lauding the fact that they are only bothered to come down to the gate when The big boys are in town, and uses a player that hasn't even been playing for us as an excuse. As a true fan you take the highs and the lows (and there have been more lows in recent seasons.) remembering that without support there would be no team to support. If you are unable to come to the gate for financial or other legitimate reasons fine, and if you just can't be bothered that's also OK but just admit it and not make lame excuses.
  19. Not the best game tonight, but Chris Smalling was excellent
  20. I would have liked to have seen James Maddison who has had such a good season with Leicester (18 goals and 12 assists) included. He must be wondering what he has to do to get in the squad. .
  21. Bromley beat Wrexham 1-0 in the FA Trophy. Good save from the Bromley keeper who is on loan from Brentford.
  22. He was always happy to support the quizes etc run by the supporters Trust and also a great ambassador for CHSW. An undoubted talent when he joined but only saw flahes of his ability and injury knocked his confidence. Good luck to him. A new start is exactly what he needs.
