  1. The system as it is now works fine.

Those who have season tickets and go to away games generally get offered an additional window over season tickets holders if demand  is likely to exceed allocation.

So many different ways that it could be sliced and still leave people at the back of a pecking order though no real fault of their own. For example, someone sitting in Lansdown Centre could argue that they invest more than someone sitting in Dolman wings, and therefore they should have a higher priority.

But it doesn't work like that, and neither should it. People buy tickets for 'their' experience and if that experience also gives them a priority call on away games, good luck to them!

14th highest attendance in league one, you’ll never sing that.

I fell in to the all too tragic 'we took 40,000 to Wembley' conversation on Monday with one of the deluded.

They were convinced that it was fact and that was why the Jordanian bought them. They seemed unaware that Wally had since sold on his majority holding.

The EFL statement a few weeks ago said they were forecast to exceed the Upper Loss limit to this season. The £83m plus Allowables one.

EFL would also be seeking a points deduction in those circs should it crystallise.

I never knew there was an upper limit. I thought it was over a 3 year period.

  4. Thought the Maynard bid never went any further because Micky (I'll never forget him), would only entertain a move to a Premier League side?

Why should people on benefits get discounted tickets? Isn't football a hobby? No matter how you sugar coat this it's not a necessity.

Benefits from my understanding should only cover basic needs, food, warmth, transport. Not fags, booze, drugs, betting and Sky TV, and now football???!!! If people on benefits want those things they work for them or save up like everyone else!

I remember when I started going you got a cheaper ticket if you were able to show your UB40 card.

  6. How long do you give it before the club 'leadership' try and sell us the Season Ticket price increases and the TV deal as a good thing as 'in reality, you will be able to watch City more often as a lot more away games will be screened'.....

Conveniently overlooking that this new deal replaces the Red Button service and to access it, you need a subscription to Sky Sports which is another expense.

I won't be at all surprised if the number of people getting the RobinsTV subscription rockets and families/friends just stream games next season.

    Think you’ll be left with:

    23 home games starting point.

    5 midweek games.

    That leaves 18.

First game and last games likely to be moved as theirs televising each game, so can’t be 3pm according to blackout.

That leaves 17 as you’ll only be home one of those 2 games.

Then Boxing Day and New Year plus Easter (x2) are being televised, so 2 out of 4 will be moved.

That leaves 15 on Saturday at 3pm, of which 5/12 on average will be moved, say 6.

That leaves 9 Saturday 3pm games.

Happy for others to query the maths.

Police will likely throw a spanner in the works and request another game is moved for reasons that won't be clearly communicated.

I wonder if the South Stand kids pricing will be altered. It’s been a bone of contention on here that there are so many empty seats behind the goal (essentially the ‘home end’ is half empty most games).

Pretty sure that will be the way it goes, rather than lowering the price for the family area in the Lansdown; they'll look to price kids out of the South Stand.

Liking the hedge, although I would go for a native mix of blackthorn, hawthorn and yew. This country needs its hedgerows back.

And in a possession based footballing environment; they would become hedgehogs.

Why has he gone dressed as Larry Lamb in Triangle*?

*Kids, ask someone who didn't have a video recorder in the early 90s and had nothing better to watch.

    But who has kicked on?

    Max.

The number of touches he has had this season likely makes him the player most improved with the ball at his feet.

Just need to work on that bit when he kicks it now.

SOD really only got stick in League One after our relegation, which most thought was fairly inevitable with the situation he inherited, so later on in his time.

Large numbers can see Manning is making us worse & the football is turgid to have to endure.

That's one of the things that really frustrates.

We were told we were going to get front foot, aggressive football.

    We haven't seen it.

We have also seen a less than full bench on occasions. Why not invite promising prospects for the U18s who did so well against Swindon to experience a 1st team preparation?

Any results are papering over some massive gaps.

This is the thing isn't it. I've donated, and it's great to see so many ex and current players, staff, and the fans contributing.

It'd be even better to see those far more able to contribute than most take the financial element of the worry out of Scotty's hands as recognition for all he's done for the club over the years imo.

Could well be that those in the strongest financial position have donated privately and directly to avoid publicity and the fees that come using a platform.

  14. Blimey! Page 2 for this thread.

But don't worry - they've just had a Q&A with their new owners who are going to get them a Tier 1 academy so that they can be self sufficient.

This means - I think* - that they'll be able to play themselves in the JPT or whatever it is these days.

*I don't really think that, I'm just second guessing #GasLogic

I know some on here will enjoy this.
Michael Beale has apparently been caught using 'fake' Twitter accounts to defend himself .
An account called Player ID posted Tweets defending the ex manager, thing is someone did some digging and found it was an old account of his . Not seen the podcast before, but worth a look.
