We could do with finding a willing partner in the Conference, to use when the windows are closed.

We now have a relationship with Aldershot.  Can we use that going forward.

We used Solihull Moors in the past, not sure the link that meant Max went there.  Maybe if Yeovil go back up, although Cooper’s use of our loanees hasn’t been great.

2 hours away, would likely need accommodation and would have a limited amount of time with the academy. So less club interaction and a loan that would cost someone more money.

4 divisions below seems too much of a drop.  But it's better than not playing.

The transfer window is closed, so I don't think a league loan would be allowed.

Add to the fact that he can still train with/play for our own academy sides whilst on loan, it seems like a perfect fit to me.

It's not exactly a shock but it is disappointing...

I mean A young player, impact sub, someone with the ability to make something happen on instinct or at the very least bring in the sense of chaos (doesn't exactly scream control)

combined with, lines, channels,  trigger movements (on the ball). Highly specific instructions for where to run and when to run there.

For the here and now it's not a good fit,

When you considering Mannings plan B, is "mostly" like for like but do it better. It's kind of obvious his best short term path is on loan.

When did he positively 'impact' a game when he came on as a sub?

I'd say that given his age, he has a much better chance of developing in to a player who can go on and have a good career away from the pressure of the Championship. He isn't likely to get a game with us at the moment, and the rest of this season on loan will hopefully help him progress so that come pre-season they can have a look at him and see if he is ready for the first team squad or would benefit from another loan.

    Agreed, it is unbelievable

    It is and it isn't.

You have to remember that a lot of the posters on OTIB have a VERY SPECIAL understanding of football and can spot a bad player a mile off, and they refuse to believe that ALL players aren't the complete, finished article from the moment they step on to the pitch - regardless of age or experience.

These same people wouldn't expect a player fresh to the country, squad, style of play to be ANYTHING other than 100% ready to understand the runs players might make, the positions they might adopt or anything else.

Therefore, based on a couple of brief appearances if this lad isn't brilliant, he must therefore be dreadful - and there is no way back for him (despite the fact he has had some significant opportunities elsewhere at a much high level).

If only we had a song for him. A song has kept a lot of people onside with Cornick when his contribution has been underwhelming at times.

Joined Bath City on loan for the rest of the season.

That’s some fall from grace, regular in the squad under Pearson, frequently used as a sub, on loan in National League South a matter of weeks later.

Obvious Manning doesn’t rate him, hope he does well.

Let’s see what Mebude gives us over the remaining 12 games that he doesn’t, eh?

Not exactly a fall from grace, when he came on for us he was 'raw' (if I'm being kind); I'd say of that batch of kids that NP fielded either because he needed to, wanted to or had to he looked least ready for Championship football. Which is no surprise, given how early in to his football career he is, so going out for what will hopefully be a run of 90 minute games in a more physical league will likely do him a lot of good.

In terms of performance when he came on for us, I'd say that we got better performances from OTC, who has also

It has been many weeks since I had reason to look at gaschat so have just checked up on how the new stand is going.

No concourse apparently. They are saying fire safety has prevented food stalls under the stand. Having seen photos of the burnt food lately you can see the concern.

Not enough room for toilets and bars as the structure wasn't built quite as expected so they are looking at the prospect of queing in the rain for food and drink at the corners of the stand instead.

On the plus side, I guess the queues will be short anyway.

Fire safety might be a part of it, but given that it is still illegal to drink alcohol within sight of the pitch and their stand doesn't go fully across, I won't be surprised if they issue is far more simple.

    Yes Arsenal have this:

     WHAT IS SEAT UTILISATION?

A seat is considered ‘utilised’ if you have either:

    • Attended yourself
    • Used the Ticket Transfer service to transfer your ticket(s) – provided the recipient(s) attends the fixture
    • Posted your ticket(s) on Ticket Exchange - regardless of whether it’s purchased

USING TICKET TRANSFER & TICKET EXCHANGE

We encourage you to use both Ticket Exchange and Ticket Transfer to ensure you reach the minimum utilisation threshold. This also gives other supporters the opportunity to get behind the team in the stadium when you’re not able to attend. These services can be accessed via your Online Box Office account.

Please refer to our guides for more information on how to use these services.

    https://www.arsenal.com/season-ticket-seat-utilisation

Well that makes it look a lot more reasonable.

Would also help parents with the reallocation of tickets if a midweek game is likely to end too late for their kids to attend.

We are their Academy. It’s just that the gestation period is longer. They have to wait until one of our former players is in his mid-thirties, well settled in the local area, before they harvest. I wouldn’t mind betting that, sometime before he hangs up his boots, Marlon is offered a contract there.

Won't surprise me at all if that happens.

Have you seen where they are in the League though? They're having a terrible season despite signing or trying to sign, every decent striker in the lower leagues. Real chance they could drop to L2.

Fair play to Carlisle though, having the season from hell, rock bottom but averaging >1200 away supporters. A bit like Plymouth in that they have to drive a couple of hours just to get to civilization. Next up for them a visit to the Mem, they've lost 7 in a row I think, what could possibly go wrong?

    Difficulty parking.

    Absolutely grim

People have said for a while the fa cup had lost a little magic and now after that announcement it’s completely gone , will be about as popular as the league cup in a couple years .

The first of many nails I remember was when Bud sponsored the cup and the moved the final to a 5pm kick off so the Americans could watch it.

  11. So they failed to sign JCR, took on a couple of loan players in January and have posted an open letter of intent that will keep the Fewers happy for a few months before putting up the cost of season tickets.

I wonder how long it'll be until one of them get banned from Gaschat for suggesting that the new majority owners might not be the solution they've been looking for.

Sorry @richwwtk where has it been said that the police requested the kick off change?

Because as already mentioned the A&S rep that attends SC&@T meetings has said on a number of occasions this fixture wasn't likely to change, so would be interested to know how you know different please?

It's from the club in their statement that A&S had requested the kick-off be moved. so either the rep that attends the meetings wasn't informed (probably a command decision) or they weren't being entirely honest.

  13. They'm getting proper eggy over on Gaschat about these season ticket prices.

There is even talk of a 'protest' - although none of them can agree what a protest would or could look like.

A more disorganised group of supporters you'll struggle to find. I think they even have representation at board level as well, which makes it all the more baffling.
