@CyderInACan has used their location unique, walk-thru service previously.

    Staff given their UB40s.
  3. Did they get Richard O'brien from the Crystal Maze to design the concourse? It's a bit industrial zone.
  4. Trouble in the park... it's all swings and roundabouts.
  5. Winning this evening would have been worth a fortune to the club. Telly cash, prize money, gate receipts in the next round. Must be close to 500k lost. That's almost a double-Tilson.
  6. Given they are playing a side from a higher division, do you think they ought to bring their sprinklers on for the last 20 minutes?

    Maybe they drove carefully.
  8. Of course Norwich will be arsed. Goal scoring bonus, win bonus, pressure from the boardroom, professional pride, chance of a glamour tie. If they aren't arsed, they are in the wrong job.

Was down that way over Christmas and it was closed then. Surprised if it wasn't making strong money, so no idea why it has been closed.
  10. They have done temporary television camera gantry points before (they were in the Dolman during the redevelopment, think Gary Johnson was there) but that comes at the expense of available seats. The best spots would be middle tier, Lansdown. But they are the most profitable seats in the ground, and for what at the moment is likely to be 3 or 4 occasions a year, more coin in leaving the hospitality and premium seating to sell.
  11. Quite a few of their people are looking for streams. If the game isn't being shown live anywhere, isn't that a something of a futile exercise?
  12. Something about watersport and other niche areas of the Internet.
  13. I am surprised that the club haven't looked to address this, the height of the television gantry makes it almost impossible to have anything than a 'top down' view. Frustrating as it is for watching football, it's even more annoying when watching rugby. Every time we feature on telly, there are complaints from neutrals and away fans not at the game regarding it, and you wonder if this has any material impact on viewing figures, which might make broadcasters reluctant to use Ashton Gate as often as they could. Which would of course be at a cost to the club as the 'home' appearance fee is quite considerable. Dare say the bean counters have weighed up the options, SCAT have asked questions and it's just an accepted imperfection.
  14. Looks like the entire pitch is a victim of the new stand and floodlight situation.
  15. The Octopus Energy adverts they're playing on the wireless at the moment. If Octopus offered me electricity free of charge, I'd still tell them to shove a pylon up their hoop and to gargle battery acid.
  16. Just stayed over to Gaschat.... I am staggered at the confidence of their fanbase as to how their game against a Championship side is likely to go. Granted there are a few realists, but most of them seem to have this as some sort of formality. Obviously, no idea how the game will go, what sort of sides either club will put out, but the Fewers seem convinced that this game doesn't mean much to Norwich. How they've arrived at that conclusion is still something of a mystery.
  17. No idea who the editor was, but I do remember the Post issuing a grovelling apology some time after various members of our squad went to prison for affray and the post mentioned it at every opportunity.
  18. Last time the BBC displayed such an enthusiastic voice, I had to dig back to the Olympics.
  19. Reflecting again, I probably learned LESS from a David Woods book than I did from Pearce waxing about the side this evening. A masterclass in 'you'll never guess who I grew up watching'.
  20. It was a joyous experience, like watching the game with the most entertaining of all the pub-bores, and I mean that with all affection.
  21. Yeap! And having watched the game from my sick bed, and taking the odd look at the West Ham Forum, KUMB; fair to say a lot of them have got far too familiar with soft football where every challenge gets reviews and the game doesn't flow. Under intense scrutiny, Williams and TGH could have both walked this evening. Delighted the ref let the game play out.
  22. Gotta be honest, a VAR controlled game might have resulted in an entirely different viewing experience.
