  1. Into The Valley go the Bristol tribute act the Skidmarks. Come on you Addicks.
  2. Started and scored Newport’s first goal in the 4-0 romp over Doncaster (Utd) Rovers. The future’s bright, the future’s red.
  3. It’s difficult to get forwards when you’re carrying Joe Bryan in your pocket.
  4. I got it working by deleting the Bristol City app and then reinstalling it and relogging in.
  5. Given the players available, the strongest 11 he could pick imho.
  6. Another stat to add to list is Millwall are most played against league opponents.
  7. Great to see Arteta getting a yellow card for waving an imaginary yellow card. New rule apparently. Hope it’s enforced in the championship as well.
  8. My take on yesterday was our non competitive preseason left us short of match sharpness. Hope Pearson plays a strong eleven with a view to uping the ante and playing with a lot more intensity.
  9. Think will see a complete change of forward line as the 2nd half progresses. COYR
  10. Actually, I think we’re missing Scott who links the play so well. Everybody gets excited about the 25 million, but going to be difficult to replace.
  11. Scott expected to be available next weekend. Pearson on RTV
  12. Ok with Bell, but I thought Sykes instead of Cornick and TC instead of Nahki.
  13. My prediction is we’ll be 1-0 up at the 90 min mark, but I’m far less confident about us hanging on during the 10 mins added time.
  14. “Taylor is a big, quick centre-back who is comfortable on the ball.” That would be my description of John Stones, but I suppose we have to allow for a bit of Gas exaggeration.
  15. According to The Times “Bristol City have enjoyed a strong pre-season: 7-1, 8-0, 4-1, 4-0 and 1-0 wins, plus a draw. Nahki Wells, Samuel Bell and Tommy Conway seem to have begun this season with a spring in their step. Alex Scott, though, is their main man: the box-to-box midfielder is dynamic, not shy of a big tackle and classy on the ball, though he is wanted by Wolverhampton Wanderers, who have bid twice for the £25 million-rated midfielder. The reliable, consistent and versatile midfielder Jason Knight, 22, from Derby County is a good signing for Nigel Pearson, 59. Ross McCrorie, the 25-year-old from Aberdeen who can play at centre back or as a No 6, and Rob Dickie, from QPR, at left back, should offer Bristol solidity. Dark horses.”
  16. Thank God there’s only another 6 days to the start of the season.
  17. The first game really can’t come quick enough.
  18. No. The prem bubble will only burst the season we get promoted to it.
