  1. After Tuesday happy with 0-0 at HT. Need to keep it tight for as long as poss and hopefully nick it at the end.
  2. Our record against Man City is decent W 10 D 7 L 9 The trouble is 7 of those wins were pre war. That’s The Kaiser’s war, not Hitler’s
  3. Alvarez starts. Who was the last current World Cup winner to play at Ashton Gate? George Cohen for Fulham in the late 60s. Anyone since?
  4. Quite possibly, but it’s still superior to the Scottish Premiership.
  5. The Scottish Premiership is higher rated than the Argentina primera, yeah that’ll be right.
  6. I thought that about Cotts.
  7. The kit is truly awful. We play in red and white, not red and white strips.
  8. The most important piece of business in the summer will be extending his contract.
  9. There’s also the option of Tanner at CB, with Sykes at RB. Rob’s absence is a real problem because there’s no way TK will be able to play 7 games in 22 days. Will be interesting to see if Nige keeps him back from the Hull game and uses him against Man City. Can’t see him starting both. Big ask after a year’s absence.
  10. If only. There was a genuine argument between. Sykes, who grabbed the ball first, and Wells, about who would take it. It took Andi to Intervene and tell Sykes to give the ball to Wells, to sort it out.
  11. Joey’s Rover’s future must be hanging by a thread, in fact the only thing that’s probably keeping him in the job is Wally is scared he’ll get a cigar stubbed in his face if he tries to sack him.
  12. Terrible bad luck for Rob, just when he was playing well. We’ve got TK as an obvious replacement and both Tanner and Pring can play there if necessary, with Naismith to come back, hopefully in the not too distant future.
  13. Toby Osbourne. “Bristol City looking far more likely to break the deadlock”. 5 seconds later Sunderland score. The man’s an effing idiot.
  14. No complaints. We’re a long way off play off material. Nothing to lose on Saturday. Might as well give it a good go.
  15. An early goal will set us up for a comfortable 3-0 win. COYR
  16. That kid’s going places.
  17. The run against the bottom four clubs plus Hull and Reading are crucial. The other thing to bear in mind is we play Burnley and Sheff Utd very late in the season, when both may well already be promoted. Whilst games against already relegated sides are dangerous, already promoted sides tend to turn up to their remaining games with the sun tan oil and deck chairs at the ready.
  18. It’s the sub 20 World Cup this summer. That’s his age group and almost certainly to be picked having been an important member of the sub 19 Euro winners last summer.
  19. TBF he finds touch on a much more regular basis than the Bears full back.
