Keepers of the standard of Nigel Martyn? Basso was also grossly overrated - did absolutely nothing after C*ty. Martyn played for England and was recognized as one of the best keepers in the PL.

I imagine some of your older contemporaries also wish they couldn't remember Twerton. C*ty took some real hammerings there and the 1989/90 season is still a source of real and obvious distress and even trauma for them.

During your spell as a non league club, I seem to remember you lost 2-0 to Bath City in the FA Trophy.  Was that at Trumpton as well?

Did the job tonight scoring a great goal but either way let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet

    Boring!

Where Bristol City are concerned every opportunity to get ahead of ourselves should be grasped with both hands.

Joking aside.  Sam Bell is the real deal.

I hope opportunity doesn't knock too hard as he will fall over.

Unbelievable the amount of times he falls over.  Really comes across as a boy in a man's game.

Care to revise your opinion of Sam Bell

  4. He’s on a season long loan.  Don’t know if there is a January recall clause.

Watched him on Sky v Rangers over Xmas.  Good on the ball, good movement going forwards, but tactically poor, got caught out several times sleeping when Rangers broke forwards.  The sort of player that would drive Nige crazy.  That said, could well benefit from the tough love applied to Cam Pring and Rob Atkinson.

IMHO there’s definitely a player in there, but time is running out to prove he’s championship standard.

It's worth noting that these are not all the incidents that Joey Barton has been involved in throughout his career, but are some of the most notable ones.

Didn’t he stub out a cigar in the face of a Man City youth player.

His approach to man management is to belittle and bully people - you can see this from his press conferences. If you are going to carry on like that, you need to be successful. Since leaving Leicester, Nigel's managerial career has been a litany of relegation dogfights and falling out with people.

Your debt is a millstone around your neck. You were almost subject to a transfer embargo last season and you have to hope that your sellable assets retain value or it is likely you will go the way of Derby or even Portsmouth.

    Law 11says:

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:

interfering with play by playing or touching a ball passed or touched by a team-mate or

    interfering with an opponent by:

preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or

challenging an opponent for the ball or

clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent or

making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball.

None of the above seems to apply to what Rashford did.

    Fundamentally disagree,

he clearly obstructs one, if not both, of the Man City defenders view of the oncoming Fernandes

and he dummies to play the ball which is an obvious action which impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball.
