The only good aspect of the game is that Steele will now get an extended run in the team.

It's a little known fact that Goebbels spent his formative years on the Blackthorn end with Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb and Karl Donitz.
I've told you all before Hitler slept in blue and white quarter pyjamas and called his favourite Labrador Rover.

Just spent the last 45 mins scouring the Internet to read all of the compliments about us. Had a gander on sagchat and pains me to say it but they're being very fair to us. I think in some ways it's a victory for real football fans v prem plastics.
Give it a day anyways....
I love taking the piss out of the gas, but agree, tonight's not a night to be rubbing their noses in it.

Going back to the favourite gas away days; do they include the 9-0 at Tottenham or the 13-2.at Luton. What about visits to Braintree, Altrincham and Alfreton. Surely worth a chapter or two.

Well done Cityal. The one thing the sags "despise" more than anything is the truth.

Another disappointing night for the blue few huddled round the Redifussion show room on the Gloucester Road hoping to see those gert teds get turned over tonight, only to shuffle back to their cold bedsits without a 50 p between for the electricity meter.

LJ just said Korey`s looks a bad one.
Takes a bit of the shine off it.
Hope the prognosis is not as bad as feared. He really is a key player.

For a club that’s only been in the football league for 3 seasons, they’d be wise to stick well clear of any discussion which involves history.

They joined the league about 20 years after us. I think it’s was 1920 or 1921?
So yeah, they only managed something like 94 seasons of League football before that hilarious day in 2014.
We’re the only Bristol club with over 100 consecutive seasons of League football under our belts. Rovers have got 97 more years before they can reach that particular landmark.
Tick tock.
Let’s not forget that they finished bottom of the third division south in 1938/39 and had to go through the re-election process. The 39/40 season was abandoned after 3 games when fervent gashead Adolf Hitler invaded Poland as a diversion tactic to avoid the famous blue and white quarters being further humiliated.
By my reckoning they’ve had three spells in the football league
1920/21 - 1938-39
1946/47 - 2013/14
2015/16 - to present date

Has to be said we are a much better side against teams that want to play. Strangely I think the biggest threat to our season is our ability to get results against the lesser sides happy to park the bus.
Funnily enough I think LJ came up with the solution to that problem tonight. Playing Reid up front on his own almost forces the opposition to play further up the pitch which allows our pacey midfielders to play off him and find space beyond the opposition's back line.

People talk about injuries being the problem...johnson has spent millions on 30 players and it seems city only have 11 players who are up to it. The squad is clearly weak.
Nice to see Thatch put in a brief appearance this afternoon.
And then when those three goals went in he was, just like Keyser Soze ( and Kevin Spacey for that matter) gone in the blink of an eye.

If they were a film studio it’d be hard to know if they would be Hamer Horror (geddit) or Ealing Comedy.

Cardiff 2 up. Beating them with a scratch side is looking pretty good now.
I thought it looked pretty good at the time.

Glos County League will do.
I'd put them in the Downs League Div 4. I might even wander up to watch Clifton Vincent Reserves give them a good hiding.

They're bricking it big time. Their worst nightmares are not their own failings, but our success. They could live with the humiliation of non-league football, but the thought of us playing premier league football, scares them sh*tless. It's not about them coming for us, it's about them dragging us down to their level.

Is 2-1 against 10 men as dangerous a lead as 2-0 against 11 men?
-
Haha 2-0.

Surely missing a few 0's!
"Relieved not to get a non league potential banana skin. Quality weekend away in Nottingham, bang up for that. Reckon at least 2.5 - 3000 could be up for this"
I think their support will be nearer the 2 and half gasheads (definition of half a gas head - half as ugly as a whole one) than 3000 of the knuckle draggers.

Truro's supporters must be gutted. Instead of a tie against the famous blue and white quarters they'll have to do with a trip to ex-premier league club Charlton Athletic.

Less than 15000 home fans. Very poor particularly since they won 5-2 on Tuesday.
-
Our game management definitely needs working on. At 2-0 we were still chasing the game. Can't see it finishing 2-1.

Doesn't offend me in the least. I assume FF is suspended for a few games which gives Steele a chance to prove his worth.
