So basically he's smiled and said Bristol Rovers. But they've turned it into something else. Absolute belters . Let's see the proof of LJ saying it . And if he did say it . Then good for him
But why wouldn't you want to draw the lowest ranked team left on the competition? Seems a perfectly obvious response to me.

Millwall's defence conceded 3 goals to the sags less than 3 months ago. Think it will be a high scoring home win, 4-2 perhaps.

Come on, what we really want is for the gas to be bought by an asset stripper who converts the mem into executive housing which results in them sharing the County Ground with Swindle for the next 50 years.

Weren't they bottom of the league when war was declared?
They finished bottom of Div 3 south in the season 38/39, but were reelected during that summer. The entire season 39/40 was abandoned after a few games when war broke out.
There are those who still hold that Hitler only invaded Poland to stop the gas going bust.

This is the story as my father used to tell it, he also said that the sale was pushed through during WW2 when people were busy defending the country.
. During 1939 Bristol Rovers F.C negotiated a sale price to the Bristol Greyhound Company, albeit by the chairman, who carried out the deal without the knowledge of his fellow directors. Eastville changed hands for £12,000 and the first General Manager was Lieutenant-Colonel Forsdike who was to become secretary of the National Greyhound Racing Club.[4]

WAQ: "We feel if we study it properly we can regenerate the Mem, and eventually provide the fans with something they have been dreaming of."
Wet Dreams?

WAQ: "It's wrong to put a timescale on it. We have a very good project manager who has extensive knowledge in this field." #BristolRovers
No timescale, surely not.

They score four, we score five.
Forever in our shadow.

So will Rovers be sued by UWE?
Depends on the terms of the original agreement between UWE and the sags as negotiated.by Higgs. There's no doubt the sags under Wally have acted in bad faith, but whether the University can prove breach of any contractual terms by the blue few F... knows.

Stockholm syndrome!
Stockwood syndrome - definition:
A city fan who for one millionth of a millisecond feels sorry for the sad sags and then gets a grip.

The sags are burying their heads in the sand. All that matters are results on the pitch blah blah blah. 2000 going to Charlton blah blah blah.
Gubby club supported by stupid idiots.

Rumour on asschat is that "plug is being pulled on the UWE"

It's seems to have passed everyone by that they've strengthened their squad with the signing of 25 year old centre back from Hayes and Yeading on a free transfer.
Tick tick and all that.

On the 7th of Sept we'll be celebrating 116 years of continuous football league membership. Not a particularly significant number you may think, unless you consider it's 114 years longer than the Sags.

They'll go back to the boards that used to be around grounds in the 60's and 70's with match numbers and scores on..... upwards and onwards, they're coming for us...........
Good point, but you have to buy a program and all those A, B, C and D's and those numbers and that, and turning the pages with six fingers, it's all a bit of a challenge.

i see a non story in the post today about the timeline on the UWE, getting ready for bad news perhaps?
I don't think there will be an announcement. They'll just let the planning permission run out and then blame UWE for not reaching an agreement:

The fact that they didn't take 40k+ to the play off final was due the fact that they weren't good enough to get into the play off final in the first place. In fact they haven't been good enough to get to the third level play off final in 22 years, added to which they haven't been promoted to the second tier for 27 years. Maggie was PM the last time it happened. Indeed since they only managed 3 promotions to the second tier in the 96 years they were last a football league club, it seems a tad previous to speculate about promotion to the Championship in only the second season of their latest spell in the football league proper.

"Never been more than one division away from the sh*t" - that prowed fact went as well.
That was always a lie. They were a southern league club when we finished second in first division of the football league and runners up of the FA cup.

Don't worry everyone, they are still coming for us now with new curtains and blinds....
I hope they have enough money left to give the 2014/15 non league play off trophy (won on pens) a bit of a polish.
