  1. When it comes down to it whats done is done, Nige has gone and Manning is here, neither of them have done anything wrong in my opinion, both kind of victims in the mess that is the BC board. I didnt want Nigel sacked but i dont want to see Manning fail, I'll get behind him. It's the level above that's the problem, the "puppet masters". It's so frustrating with a club like City with SO much potential for it never to be realised due to utter incompetence at the top. Then when one of the morons posts something like Tinnion has, it just ignites the anger, it's like he's either taking the p!ss out of the fans, or he is so stupid he just doesnt see it. "See you when we are in the prem", well we are no where near the Prem so why the hell do we have to "see you"?
  2. "Always Believe" - Always Believe what Brian?, that you are a total incompetant moron?, That we will continue to be the mediocre vanilla club of the championship for the next 10 years?. That the people at the top of the club are clueless and will never bring success?.... If that's what you mean then don't worry brother, i "believe" whole heartedly.
  3. If it was possible,. Rangers or Celtic are a good shout.
  4. This is a really good point, something i had not considered, you are right. The teams we have struggled with this season are the "park the bus" type teams, really difficult to break down and find some creativity, Maybe that should be some of the focus.
  5. I am aware that you cant always take a lot from pre-season friendlies, we have seen many times in the prem, a team pre-season looks outstanding scoring for fun then when the season starts they are awful, so i get that point. However, in our situation i am really hoping we make the most of pre-season friendlies and take on some real quality teams, maybe quite out of our comfort zone. The reason for this is because i still don't think Manning has got to grips with different styles of play at this level, having a decent Plan B, and how to approach different style teams, i think the friendlies could be really valuable in getting some great experience and maybe test a few things. Basically i don't want to see pre-season friendlies with the likes of forest green rovers or standard liege, I would like to see Manning make real use of the opportunity to fine tune his tactics against decent opposition with quality players. I guess there is also a balance of you don't want to get battered pre-season and go into the season de-motivated. Not sure if people agree, or how they see pre-season friendlies?
  6. I take your point onboard, i was talking in more general terms, but obviously also today, however, i would agree more if we were playing Leicester, Ipswich, Leeds etc, even with a make shift defence, why do we need to show so much respect to Huddersfield, fighting relegation, and we are at home? Surely we could of gone at it a little more?
  7. What i find irritating is negative style tactics, when you're at home, playing a team in trouble i would rather go all out at them. I don't want to see "protective football!" in a game i believe we can win. I think Manning is trying to do the right thing by adjusting the team and tactics each game to suite our opponent, which is the right thing to do, however, i have to be honest, I was a fan of the Newcastle model under Keegan (we will attack and attack and hopefully score more than you), for example i would rather see a game we lost 3-4 and we really went at it than negative tactics. I believe if we had more confidence and went for the attack we would win more than we would lose. I might be completely wrong, but i would enjoy the exciting football either way. I feel the same about England.
  8. Would love to see him at City, but think he's clever enough to see how the club is run and wouldn't come anywhere near. I think he likes the City and the Fans, just not stupid enough to work with the club.
  9. Is there any clubs that have run a successful model that we could emulate?, Rather than robust structure of J Lansdown and Tinnion fulfilling every role at the club....I'm pretty sure there might be.
  10. First thing that made me smile all day, It's like they do it on prepose for entertainment purposes, as we are deprived on the pitch.
  11. Yeah, Crypto is a massive gamble, well spotted i came out the last bull run pretty well, im hoping to do the same now if we finally enter one, Bitcoin got to 72K beating its all time high but has pulled back to 67K Anyway, lets hope City win some games and prove me wrong!
  12. Dont call me a liar. I say what i think and tell the truth. Sky bet actually would only let me put £20 max on it so i went through to bet 365 to put the rest on, i took screen shots for you.
  13. Funny how we weren't even in contention, but now we have appeared in the list of possibilities. I'm gonna stick £100 on City at those odds.
  14. I agree with you, however, i dont think people will listen. A lot of people just go and enjoy the day out, some with the kids, regardless of the score. With some people I've noticed its almost like a "badge of honour" to be able to tell people how you continue to support and go every week regardless of the results. I am not saying who is right, or wrong in this situation as everyone's lives are different, but from my perspective i am truly fed up of the club, but deeply emotionally invested, so i dont want to abandon it, but i do want change. Also, i dont want to watch the crap being served up right now. I wont be going to ashton gate next season, unless Manning finally figures out a style of play that works (which i doubt), or as you said, the clowns are thrown out.
  15. We are gonna be in a relegation fight, its sneaking right up on us. What a joke. With a top 6 squad and top 10 budget. Who would of thought it?.... EVERYONE other than the people that run the club. Total sh!t show.
  16. Funny thing is this statement could apply to J Lansdown, Tinns and, Manning. What a team
  17. two losses from being in a relegation scrap. How exciting, we won our last league game so by my calculations in our next 3 we should lose two, and draw one.
  18. He's an arrogant "know it all". Don't care what he did as a footballer. Take twitter as an example "see you when we are in the Prem", that statement justifies my comments. I'm slowly reverting to not being able to stand the bloke.
  19. I am trying to see if i have any connection to Wrexham so i can justify supporting them.
  20. I don't even care that City won. I'm so tired and fed up. I know we somehow won this game but will probably lose the next 3. I know some times we pull of some amazing achievement like Westham in the cup or ending Southampton's run of 23 games, and I then know we are then destine to lose the next few games to teams in the bottom 6. I feel like i have no energy for the BS any longer. I told myself i wasn't even going to check City's scores anymore, however, i haven't managed to get there yet, but i think i will. I am bored, and tired of this club. following for 25 years its going no where. Bristol City only ever get discussed on the TV or radio in relation to another team. I heard lots about City on the TV and radio when we played Westham in the cup, because people are interested in Westham, I heard lots about City when we played Southampton because people are interested in Southampton, I heard lots about City on talk sport when we put in a good performance against promotion chasing Ipswich, because people are interested in Ipswich. It would be so nice in my lifetime if Bristol City were talked about on the TV and radio because people were interested in Bristol City.
  21. What a fantastic exciting season....working out stats to see if or when we might be safe. Thanks to those at the top, Just i wanted from the season.
  22. Hope: To do what Luton, Brighton, Blackpool, Brentford, Cardiff, Swansea, Bournemouth, Burnley, and Hull have all done, reach the premier league. Even for one "Derby" like season, i would take that before i die. Expectation: We continue to flounder as a mid table championship club for the next 20 years constantly looking over our shoulders, flirting with relegation. Whilst the people at the top constantly tell us they have a "plan", appointing unproven, uninspiring managers, and selling any talent we find to balance the books.
  23. That's what migration is about, joining our great nation and assimilate into our culture
  24. Think this a real test for Manning, this is the type of game i would expect City to lose, as the expectation will probably be for us to win, we have had good results with teams in the top 10, and a 3 game win streak, while Birmingham are in freefall, getting booed off the pitch. The circumstances favour us for a win but historically we usually lose this type of game. Will be really interesting if Manning can break that trend, I'll be impressed.
